Feedback needed Pleez - New Tracks for PR!
Further to the "music for Pr - Who makes it" thread,
Here are 2 new tracks i've been working on for you all to listen to, Please if there are any Devs out there Reading this i would love to hear your feedback ! all my tracks are copyright Free and totally original pieces of music.
any feedback is Appreciated and if you feel i could make them better, or you'd rather me attempt to make something a little more different just let me know and i'll try my best to create the things you'd like to use for this brilliant mod!
First up is "death from above" inspired by me getting nailed by a PLA Helicopter hovering up from behind a tree on one of the PR forest Maps ( i think its steel thunder??)
and the second one is "the Sirenz of war" inspired after a long Bloody battle on Al Basrah.
i think this one in particular needs a bit more work to make it blend better, but please do let me know what you guys think !
Free to download - Hope you Peeps like them, Plenty more on thier Way too.

Thankyou for your kind comments mr Master, Glet you Liked them ! still working on 2 more at the moment, will post within the next few days !Xmaster wrote:Nice songs!
All the radio chatter in "Death from above" reminds me the oldschool tracks of the first ghost recon and whatnot.
Sirenz of war is by far my favouriteMore trance-like than Death from above
<3 trance xD
Good work mate!
The radio Chatter is from a real Us Cobra helicopter "dust off"
i like the " Get outta there " bit ... hehe
Thanks for your comments so far guys, keep them coming and let me know what you think !

Both are really nice!
For some reason, the intro to Sirenz of War kind of reminds me of Jilted Generation era Prodigy. I'd love to hear it on PR with the trance beat replaced by a more aggressive breakbeat/bigbeat sound kicking in at the same time as the main hook. At the moment it goes from a foreboding, apprehensive intro straight into a standard Trance build up, and sounds great, but I think it'd sound even better with that earlier foreboding suddenly shattered with a sudden kick in the form of break. That's just my opinion though as I'm more a fan of breakbeat
Death From Above is nice as well, kind of reminds me of late 90's Covenant and other darkwave/EBM stuff. Looking forward to hearing them on PR!

Very slow paced tracks, not quite game suited I felt. I actually preferred the one called "Moving On" where if you insert sound fx, music from bf2 and some voiceovers you could create something very game worthy.

[R-DEV]Jaymz: That has to be...the most epic response to a welcome thread I have ever seen. [R-CON]Mr.D ladies and gentlemen!

Thanks mr D - i will get onto it, Moving on is still really a work in progress anyway so i will see what i can do with it ! just been getting used to converting the bf2 wavs too, so i will stick some good samples in there'[R-PUB wrote:MrD']Very slow paced tracks, not quite game suited I felt. ps ... All tempos can be shifted up for the tracks too no bother, and if you feel they need a quicker beat i can add some Hefty beats too

Check the current time of tracks already used ingame. Remove a gig of ram from your pc and try loading up if you keep loading faster! The tune just repeats if it takes you too long which is rare for me on 2gigs.
See what has been done with the Bi Minge map tune right now. That's maybe somewhat over the top, but you can see how integrating stuff works fine. I'm sure slapping sounds onto the timeline of your software will be easy enough if you have the patience to make music. I've done stuff similar to this myself before, but never have the time to polish anything off.

That tune really does make me rofl, Well put together tho ! my Pc Currently Takes around 3 mins to load a map up, so i get to listen to most of the tracks in full as i only have 1gb ram .... and your right, slapping samples in will be no bother - but i'll make sure they sound atmospheric to go with the track.
Thankyou for your feedback i really hope in future to make a track(s) worthy of your mod.

I also think the tracks are a bit too slow, and they "start" way too late.
BTW: Make this one a loading music
SUPERIOUR

I agree that the pace has to be right (although pace is more to do with the beats and structure than the tempo - shorten and intro here, stick in a break there and I reckon Neoteknix' tracks could rival anyones), but I always thought the whole sound fx and voiceovers thing is a bit cheesy. One particular fx or voiceover, processed properly and used as a subtle motif can work well, but it's only a short step from there to lame it's the late 80's and I just bought my first sampler territory!'[R-PUB wrote:MrD']Very slow paced tracks, not quite game suited I felt.
