We are ready to re-edit PLA's voice,because the current PLA's voice is not reality the new voice is very realtic different to BF2 old PLA voice

i will overtake here, where it goes to audio recordings.. :)

you know where to find the original PLA voices in BF2?
take the ones that are in the original BF2 folder.
many of the voices are doubled as a filtered and a non_filtered version, BUT some voices are filtered only and some non_filtered only.
you need to record the files that are in the filtered AND in the non_filter folder only once, BUT you have to record all the files that are only in one of these folders too!
you need three voice actors: 1 for grunt, 1 for squadleader and 1 for commander.
record the voices as 22khz, 16 bit mono .wav files would be decent.
very important: keep the files at their original names!!!

you cn send the complete, zip´ed file to rapidshare, or megaupload or any other free filehoster.
you can also PM me for further questions.

It's strange for BF2 to have several expressions for the same meaning. We'd like to use just one sound. Does it matter?

Could you please provide me a list of sounds need to be translated? Are all ogg files mentioned in \mods\pr\common_server.zip\sound\*.con need to be recorded again?

in 0.5 are not all voiceovers in the mod folder.
its better to use the BF2 folder as a reference:

Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Common_client.zip\Sound\Chinese\

there you find the voiceovers for commander, squadleader and grunt in two folders, called filter and no_filter.
the most of the files are the same, nominal, and you only have to record them once for each role (com, sql, grunt), but some files are filter and some no_filter only, these have to be recorded too!

you need to record them clean! that means like they sound in the no_filter folder, independent if the original file only exist in the filter folder or not.. ;)
that dont works with rocording over TS! ;)
i will apply the filters later.

and you have to record all the voices for each role with the same actor, but different actors for the different roles. if not, you may have the same soldiers saying different things with different voices.. ;)

you dont need to ogg these files. that will be the last step after the postprocessing i have to do!
just send them as a zip, with the original names in different folders for com, sql and grunt and i will do the rest.
