The PC gamer writers were really in to BF2. I think a write up in a magazine could give details that recruit serious players. An article could highlight the rally points, kit requests, commander assets and other PR features so that they have a clue. I found this mod from digg.com story about .5 release. I was a green recruit wondering why I couldn't press E and get into a tank. Now, I think I'm an asset to my squad and team. Whoever submitted the digg story, thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm glad someone hyped it for me.

I thought it was an internet radio interview. That is where I heard it.
BTW it was great to hear the voice of the gods.
@ iGi Greg. We do want more players but the idea would be to get them from a different source than CS.
People who think BF is too simple and want something more than a game of fast twitch reflexes and spawn camping.
Those players will come no matter what and some will be converted to the PR way but what I would like to see it players that don't need to be converted to tactical and strategic thinking but only need to learn the details of PR and it's equipment.
Please............do another radio interview, it was great !

Finally I understand the feelings of the few.

How about a kid that wants to learn how to play tactical games and work with a squad.............and can read?'[R-DEV wrote:IronTaxi'] i dont know if kids really buy these mags anyway (no cash)
BUT these players have taken the time to read (something few kids seem able to do these days)and look up the site and then download the game etc...
they seem ready to take there time and learn how to play not having just come out of rush rush rush DIE games...
Where can we listen to this interview?
[R-MOD]Dunehunter-Freedom? This...is...The PR Forum! *kicks LekyIRL down the well on Basrah*

already done..we have had it released on CD i believe as well as in several game magazines in various countries...look forward to more as well...radio interview is a good idea again as well...Perhaps one of the Devs could contact PC Zone or some other trade magazine to see if they may be interested in featuring it, maybe even putting it on the front cover DVD, that would be awesome.
wont be long before we are in chinese gaming mags im sure..hehe

I know I herad about PR when it was in the "Mod of the Year " contest. I was hooked after that. Word of mouth is the biggest thing we as players can do to get more people involved. I know once I found it I told my clan mates and we started playing and soon there was about ten of us.
I think maybe a new rally cry should be:
"Project Reality...Tell a friend!"
or
"Friends don't let friends play Vanilla BF2!"

I think the best way to do this is to find tactically minded vBF2 clans and introduce them to PR, that way we know to some extent that they're not all smacktards. Also, instead of advertising PR by showing off its new maps, weapons, and vehicles, it should advertise its gameplay and tactically minded community, that way there will be less people just looking for a new way to "poon" their opponents.

This mod isn´t friendly for the vBF2 noobs. Once they find out that the can´t bunny hop around, spraying on full auto and lobing endless amounts of grandes without dying every minute and facing a 30 second or more respawn time along with getting kicked from just about every server, they will never play again. But those that want to learn and are good players would probably stay and learn how to play. I guess it would demand the server admins to be quite strict about lonewolfing etc...

Guys you won't have to worry that much about vanilla whores as much as we did v.5.
In v.5 the game was pretty much CQB, and that is where Vanilla whores excel.
In v.6 I find many more firefights and hardly am I within 50m of an enemy unless in an urban area, or im below them.
Just tell everyone you know, and slowly we will build.
