my one thought is that if when you entered the hypothetical UGL iron sight mode, that it could be coded that an effect similar to using a mounted mg would allow the user to pivot the rifle around an invisible axis at the front ironsight - so that only the rear/user would move around the restricted angle of movement from the pivot to the butt of the gun.
I just reread that - it's the BF2 engine lol, what am I thinking!
