Are civilian squad leaders really such a big problem?

Post by Apheirox »

Clearly, they have some advantages but they certainly also have weaknesses:

- You do not get the officer kit which is extremely powerful. For this reason alone I would never use a civilian.

- Even though the British cannot shoot you you still have to stay behind cover. If you dance around in front of the enemy, squad members spawning disoriented in on you will get instantly gunned down. So effectively, there is no real difference in how you can play.

In any case, civilians should be allowed to be squad leaders: You can just disallow spawning on them. The solution of killing them outright is only frustrating. The real question is whether squad members should be allowed to spawn on civilian squad leaders or not.
I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it. ~Voltaire

If you are a serious PR gamer do not put up with the chaotic public server gameplay! There are much betteroptionsavailable. Also, be sure to avoid making these common basic mistakes.

where have you ever seen some civvy off a street in iraq, suddenly find a bunch of insurgents and decides to lead them into battle? come on man a civilian is not a leader, if he was he would have grabbed a gun and lead by example. Civvys are there to be led, not to lead.

locked cos this topic is just stupid...
