Tank shells and AT rounds penetrating fences

Post by Apheirox »

Would it be possible to make powerful projectiles like tank shells and AT rounds pass through paper-thin 'walls' like chain link fences? Not only would this be more realistic - it would also prevent exploitation. On a map like Kufran Oilfields, a tank can be virtually invincible while still pinning down all infantry in a whole base by hiding behind such 'walls'.

Yes, it would appear that tank shells can, indeed, go through fences. So on Kashan, just stay hidden somewhere outside, then hit them from behind when they don't expect it ;)

I know HEAT rounds go through Destructible walls and SABOT rounds just decimate them.
I never seem to be able to kill a tank on the other side of a chain linked fence ESPECIALLY on Karfur Oil Fields.

How about just make the chain link fences destructible? Like when you shoot at them with a tank or just running them over. Also for infantry, it should be nice to destroy the fences with C4, slams, etc because those fences are holding back and slowing down infantry way too much.

Tank rounds do go through the chain linked fence on Kufrah.

On infantry, use MG.

every thing goes through destructable walls unless they changed it. helmand was a joke all you had to do was spray a mag into each house and bam instant 15+ kills.

It is not just the chain link fences. It is walls like tin plates commonly used on urban maps, as well.
