It's a medium/heavy (depending on the version that is) cargo/troop helicopter used by the US Navy, Marines and Airforce.

Goes by several names I'm sure you've heard of at least one. Sea stallion, super stallion, sea dragon, jolly green giant and pavelow III all depending on what variant and service. There's probably even more names.

Yes and no. The HH-3 was the original Jolly Green Giant. When the H-53 Sea Stallions entered service, the USAF HH-53 was known as the "Super Jolly Green Giant" or "Super Jolly." Ho-ho-ho.

the CH-53 is commonly known in the Marines as the "shitter" cause of the black trail of exhaust it leaves behind. You ask a mechanic what type of bird he works on and he'll say "a shitter." and it's faster than the CH-46's, UH-1N's, and mabye (not sure) faster than an AH-1W. Cause it does have 3 ENGINES to move that big airframe.

as i said before id love to see it in the game but not in the same role as a medium lift chooper, but rather in the heavey lift role,

id love to see what DCX did where the C-130 could be used to carry vehicles id love to see that done where the '53 or '46 could carry a DPV or 110

'[R-PUB wrote:GRB']Since when? Show me proof...(movies dont count)

As far as i know, the Marines have PLENTY of transportation...

It's what I did when I was in the US Navy. As far as proof, I am bound by contract to not talk about certain aspects, but I can tell you ... one of two USN Helo squadrons that do inland work. You can probably find out further information on your own.
Oh, forgot to add, aircrew. AW/SW qualified.

I work with a CH-3E Jolly Green Giant at an Air Force Museum I volenteer at, trust me the only thing close to making it like the CH-53's is its look. It looks a little like it but past that the 53 is a totaly different helo
