Free standing in vehicles ... why ....

Post by =UKHC=Neoteknix »

Does BF2 SPazz out so much with it ? whats the deal ?

ok so this is a random thread, but why ..... if you jump in the back of a merlin / heli etc, and it takes off do you end up "Clipping" your way out of the side of it and end up heading towards earth at 200 mph ?

what is it with the bf2 engine that does that ?

also - i'd lol at seeing how many players we could fit into a merlin with the hatch shut :D

I have no idea why the clipping happens as I am only a user but that idea is a great one.
Then the Merlin takes off and we can watch all 20 or so guys fall out !
And as the windshield melts
My tears evaporate
Leaving only charcoal to defend.
Finally I understand the feelings of the few.

When EA designed the aircraft they used aluminum foil for the fueselage skin to save weight, and the seats are secured to the sub frame which is chro-moly. That is why if seated you remain in the aircraft but if standing on the floor (which we have established is aluminum foil stretched over a chro-moly sub frame) you simply fall through it.

Frigg'n EA is so cheap, they could of afforded something better then aluminum foil eh?

Because, quite simply, BF2's collision handling is broken.

In 0.5 OGT, I got stuck in the Merlin's engine, when I left my seat during flight :p

0.6 Basrah, I died, as soon as the pilot just nudged the heli :(

in Battleship mod for BF2, you dont get killed nearly as much cause the decks of their ships have a special material...

maybe we could try that inside the merlin?
