in PR - Whats your Favorite Role ?

Post by =UKHC=Neoteknix »

I have to say at the moment, i'm really enjoying being a Transport helicopter Pilot, The rush you get Waiting to pick people up in a Hot Zone ready to Evac them back to another Flag is wicked, and the landings are Equally exiting knowing you could get nailed any minute, then seeing your team mates get out and join the fight...

the only thing i dont like, which i dont think should be harsh is the punishment if you do get shot down with passengers. I got nailed by a sneaky Jeep in some trees last night and got booted from the Server lol !!

anyway, my Fave chopper is the Light PLA Scout Heli with the Guns, Strafing runs in that are Fun :D

and being on foot as spec ops, Going Lonewolf sneaking behind enemy lines and generally blowing anything and anyone in my way up ! they say in PR you are no-one alone, But i've had some amazing times as a specops On my lonesome :D

Whats your favorite Role on the battlefield at the moment ?

Ground attack plane on Kashan, Frogfoot is my fav. plane.
Well taht's not really my fav. role, it's either flying about in the Merlin picking troops up or being a support gunner in a 1337 inf sqad.

Usually what ever kit is useful at the time.., however whichever kit i use i always seem to end up been medic.

For some reason i cant stay away from using shock paddles, maybe its got something to do with licking 9v batteries when i was a kid

Quote from ArmA forums says it all.
"Arma 2 has a very lucky dev team, who have a very patient community, who will always stay loyal in the faith that one day arma 2 will be complete.
Flashpoint has a weeks worth of out the box gameplay, after that it's boring. "

I love being a foot slogger, riflemen, support or medic. for some odd reason i kinda like feeling volnerable, and being able to sneek around to take objectives, though i have fallen in love with driving the warriors in 0.6 they are ace

Spec-ops or Marksmen
being a spec ops teamed with a engineer is a good way to take out APC's and tanks (set a mine under a tread or wheel then set one slam, slam goes off armor rolls over it and boom :D ) and marksmen because i enjoy the ocasional sniping but i also like getting fairly close to the enemy and covering my squad, the M14 provides mr with these 2 things fairly well :D

Driver or gunner in a tank on the big maps, or just plain grunt (rifleman/marksman) in a squad with team-play on the wood/urban maps!

It's a thrill...

Squad Leader - Cos when everyone works together, listens to what your telling them it is the best round you can play especially when you have a squad score of 1800+ at the end of it, gives u a nice warm tingly feeling lol, oh having a good commmander is vital too!

Being on the ground is great, but being transported and accurately placed is better, but being accurately placed winning a firefight and capturing a flag is much better, but doing all that and then being extracted and accurately placed all over again is .. is dam it I just want to weep with joy thinking about it.

Medic or marksman, there's nothing better than blowing someone away with an LSW/L86 Boo YAA.

Grenadier or AT rifleman. Nothing like putting a 203 nade through a window and seeing baddies flying everywhere, or a rocket into the windshield of a Nanjing, with the same result.

More guns and bullets make bad guys go away faster,
which in turn makes everyone in the area safer.

The merlin is an Absolute Beauty, the first time i played this mod i saw one of these coming in over some trees on version 0.5, saw all my team mates running towards it for extraction ! What an awesome sight, and sound of it.

Could make some great movies with PR :D

Tank Driver. Prefurubly in the T-90 (as the current Chinese maps arn't that great for tanks and the M1 is covered in sweet spots)

Nothing like driving around while my gunner blasts M1A2s into scrap. With a good gunner and knowing the map its alot more fun than you might think.

When I'm not in heavy armor, urban combat engineer is the way to go, and when thats not avalible (as it isnt avalible far too much), engineer or rifleman.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
