You must be joking superdj. At this point in time, it is going to be a competely useless map since we have other combined arms ones. With the new jet speeds and tank capabilities both have outgrown 2km^2 maps.

I liked Steel thunder for sure...had a good feel to it, and the woods led to some good fire fights plus reprieve from the da choppas.

I think that, at best, these "culled" maps may have some candidates to be evaluated for Community Modding projects. As said elsewhere every release requires a fairly labour intensive "audit" of the maps.

Did you not read any of the posts in here????

Plus all of these maps are going to increase the download size of PR, people currently have fit at 1.5gb downloads.

What robbo said.... I won't miss the proposed maps to go into the shredder. Mao Valley is a nice idea like most of the maps. I hope the mappers responsible give them all a re-hash and propose them again for future versions all spruced up and ready for the style of play desired by future versions of PR.

I would like to think PR moving forwards, and part of moving forwards is removing some stuff that is showing its age.

I think most new maps should have majority of the buildings be destroyable, so old maps with vanilla statics just really start to show their age...

Hopefully there is enough new quality maps in v0.6 and v0.7 that we wont have to rely on vanilla community maps as much.

I loved steel thunder for the woodland tank battles. had some very tense situations, sitting in the treeline, pearing into the forest to see 2-4 enemy tanks start moving in on the one flag just north of US main.

only map i wish would stay.

Operation Compton though i swear was a great flashback to ww1. I've had rounds where the teamwork was amazing, having to throw nades down the trench and rush under clouds of smoke and bullets. pretty epic.

Does this mean we can expect destroyable council flats?
