Seaking Mk4

Post by benjaminosauras »

I know the seaking has been talked about here and there, but I want some hard answers!!

The seaking Mk.4 "Junglie".

Awesome machines, where the key of the assault on the Al-Faw in 2003, been vital in troop transport and supply roles throughout the Iraq and Afghanistan War.

Does about 100 knots full wack, but when they get the rotor upgrade it should be about 150.
Can Carry 27 troops (light order) but normally takes about 12-15 in Iraq due to the hot weather adding extra heat to the engine.
One GPMG on one side, and thats it.

Before everyone goes "Oh we have the Merlin". For maps with the British on the coast, the Mk4 is much more likely to be operating than the Merlin Hc.3 as the RAF dont like water. Also, the doors dont fall off Seakings..... ;-)

So maybe not immediately but, if, ever there is a british carrier map, then the Junglie would be ideal.

Would be a great bird for when the British amphibious assault maps come in! :D
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

tactical transport, armed escort, anti-tank warfare (equipped with eight TOW missiles), reconnaissance and casualty evacuation.

The only thing I can see the Mk8 being useful for over the Mk7 (in PR) is ASW..... and we don't got submarines.

As for the Sea King, well, I'm waiting for Vikingo before I say anything

Out of them, the only thing the Mk.8 does, is Tactical Transport (which it does badly with 4 seats.....) Reconnaissance and Casevac.

So having a Chopper in game just for Recon its kinda bad.....

Bah, I think we should have recce choppers for the biggest maps.

I'll come out of the closet here and admit that the real reason I want the RN Lynx is that the Norwegian Air Force operates them

i love junglies, best amphibious troop transport aircraft ever, although their use in game might be a bit miffed as the merlin is already in, already you talked about that in your suggestion.

thats unless someone has already modelled one, in which case, enlighten me.

i dont see anything wrong with introducing a navy lynx, just stick a radar thing on the bottom and cut off the top front part of the nose and replace it with that radar.

You talking about adapting the modelled one?

If so, then it would have to be wheeled as well

i was told that they were going to put a pulse radar thing in that bottom disk shaped compartment, but didnt as they realised the weight split the aircraft in two, is this true :p ?
