I'd like to see more punishment, too. But the thing is, you can't really have people spontaneously dying when killing civvies. IRL, soldiers don't get executed on the spot for doing so. They get punished afterwards. But I agree, there should be more punishment involved.

I'd like to see the Brits have a mobile GPMG just like the insergants have the PKM. http://www.army.mod.uk/img/5regtra/gpmg.jpg

Also, has PR team attempted making a mortar?

Tea Break for the Brits.

Tea Break for “commanders” deserting their own teams before the battle is over. I hate when it happens. Especially when things begin to go bad due to the fact a poor “commander” abandons the team.

Just played a round in the latest Beta version when that happened again. OMG! LOL, Thrash.

And it can just be so devastating to a battle, cause then someone else need to apply. And normally nobody is willing to do that. I hate those rounds when stuff likes that happen.

Yeah a Tea Break. Maybe in the form of an X time “not possible” applying for commander in a battle?
Define irony. A bunch of guys playing PR year after year. A game teaching initiative as the prime mover.
However, in regard to EA, these guys never took the initiative.

IRL, the Minimi (represented by the SAW in PR at the moment) is issued at squad level. The Gimpy is issued at battalion level, so the Minimi will stay for the squads in PR.

And, yes, mortars are in the works. :D

Welcome to the forums, BTW. :D

That thread got deleted in the forum, so I'll take that as an official "no".

Nah, any random USMC soldier wouldn't be able to jump into a Cobra gunship and fly it or nick the odd chinese tank in real life, would he?

Agree on the civilian cars. I believe the reason they were locked was to prevent a lot of blue-on-blue incidents...

I think the punishment is the right amoun. It shouldn't be more.

Because the game is not real life there are always civis jumping in your line of fire with an attmept to raise your spawntime.

IRL civis would search and take cover it it comes to heavy shooting and not jump around in the crossfire hoping to get shot by an infidel.

Good point, that, but I still say it'd make the game more interesting if you had more punishment for killing them. Also increase the civvies' punishment for dying to prevent them from doing so.

I don't think it would be more interesting. Only thing is that it would make it more annoying - thats what i think.

Civis actually just get punished if they are knifed, right?

If they are shot they have only a 10 second spawntime i think (i am not very sure about that)

I mean that you'd have to be even more careful about shooting civvies, which I personally find quite exciting. The kick of placing those LMG bursts a foot from the civvie trying to cover the insurgents as they attack the VCP. :D

I'm thinking something along the lines of the punishment soldiers get for dying. As a minimum.

i think something like an adrenaline rush would be great. if a bullet whizzes by close enough, your sprint hella fast and your shots are more accurate (less recoil maybe?) for a second or two. i know those sounds of speeding bullets get my heartbeat going fast sometimes irl, so why not in game?

Actually, I think your accuracy should decrease if anything. What's the point of suppressive fire if it just means that the enemies you try to suppress will be able to run faster and shoot better than you?
