Post by laterwheel »

hey everyone, I am new to this game and i was looking at the classes and wanted to select the sniper class. But it seems that lilke 4 of the 6 or however many classes there are, seem to have the same gun can someone explain why that is? Also do you have any tips for me.

a good read through the manual is a good idea...its a little subpar at the moment but we give you enough info to get you started..

basic premise is that in reality not everyone has a sniper rifle...

If you are playing the 0.6 beta you might want to look at this guide. It's currently work in progress but maybe it helps.

New players should stay away from the sniper kit.

Hello laterwheel,

Welcome to PR! :D

Do not be put off by this 'warm welcome'. These people are just tired of players asking the same questions over and over. You are very welcome here. :) They are right, though: You need to read the manual. Always read manuals, 'FAQ's' and any other info you can find before asking for help on the forums.

Here is a direct link to the FAQ: http://guide.realitymod.com/index.php?t ... eality_FAQ . That is where you need to go now.

Good luck!
I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it. ~Voltaire

If you are a serious PR gamer do not put up with the chaotic public server gameplay! There are much betteroptionsavailable. Also, be sure to avoid making these common basic mistakes.

Riflemen in the PLA, MEC, USMC, and GBA get scopes too.

Welcome. For sure read the manual. The part you are looking for more specificaly is limited kits and how and where to request them. Getting the sniper rifle is usually rare as there is only 2 max per team. I would suggest you find a squad that has a good SL running it. Take a look in the tales from the front line forum here. It will have a running thread with player recomendations, look for a SL with high praise I try and jump in their squad. Good luck and don't suggest any changes or additions to the game for at least a month please

If everyone thought like you, every new players will be always new players. Those guys should first go through the all kits to become no more "new players"

[R-DEV]Chuc:"Pro man, pro."
(yes, it was about me)
[R-MOD]BloodBane611:"Romagnolo, you definitely deserve a LOL award for that."

Have to disagree with you on this one...sorry.

There are MANY other BASIC kits a new player should become familiar with to become an all round player before assuming one of the principle limited kits.

Ahhhh, what the hell.

Press T and select the sniper kit when you're in a locked squad with another person. (Make sure you call that squad 1337).

Make sure you run away from all the other players, because:
1. Snipers work all by themselves.
2. You don't want other people to steal your kills.
3. You're leet so you don't need help.

Last but not least, check this guide out, I'm sure you'll know everything from before.

Have a nice day. ;)
