BrokenArrow, according to your sig you are a tester. You dont have a choice ;)

Come on, its fun... We can have contests about what the new pointer is actually supposed to be. A halfmoon with a square UFO under it? New MEC technology?!?!

Dawdler, I'm sorry. You were correct.

Are you sure? It is content they released with a patch for BF2. It's not like they are being stolen from SF. Modders are ok to alter other content they release so I fail to see what difference it would make.

Seems like it falls under the same ruling of the current unlocks. Modders were prohibited from using these weapons (unless they build them themselves) in unranked games as they are intended only to be unlocked as a part of ranked play.

Nothing would make me want me to leave BF2 more than what's just happened with SF.

Special Forces customers can use their flotilla of new weapons in vanilla BF2????? So people can effectively buy an advantage?????

This is absolutely outrageous.

I feel like I'm being humiliated by a bully, while I'm trapped in a cage - we're being a$$ raped by a corporate monster - and there's nothing we can do about it. Wicked.

C'mmon Codemasters, this is your opportunity, plaster the internet with proactive advertising for OFP2 - there's a whole community waiting to jump on your train!!!!! Do it, do it now!!!!!!

I am so upset it's unreal.

Remember, Project Reality is stull under heavy development. MANY things are planned for this Mod. Im sure that the community will grow, servers will be fuller and we will all be much MUCH happier. Stick around, im sure you will enjoy all the releases that are still to come.

EA and DICE are in the business to make money, which ranks higher for them than winning the hearts of their customers... thats capitalism and for them and many others, that works. they do what is best for themselves, you cant really blame them.

They are pressuring people into buying it which makes them more money.

Well, it's not exactly pressuring... I haven't bought anything xept vanilla BF2 and i'm not feeling any pressure at all.

The weak minded or less informed people will buy the addon. ie those brainwashed by the advertising and the shiny new visuals that need you to upgrade your new cray super computer in order to enjoy the new engine "performance".

Installed yesterday - and have had nothing but problems (ie the 1.12 patch - not BF2 SF)

Am getting pig tired of BF2 to be honest - as I have said in another thread, this is the 1st time I have had chance to get some gameplay in as I was away when it came out.

Initial thoughts:

1 Weapons have no power, so against others that are unlocked - you can not even compete

2 If any serious action starts on a 64 player server - the lag is unreal

3 No ammo switching on anything

4 Just to many Stat whores trying to get their "global points", commanders just arty everywhere - again for points

4 Base raping in all servers

5 UAV's good idea but to much of it

6 Patches ....... or something stops you joining servers ie "no unofficial modifications on this server" ......... eh???

7 Squads are great and people do join ......... then go of on their own anyway ?????

Just a few I have noticed .......... only played it on and of for the last 3 days too ????

(Sure you have heard it all before ....... but I am a bit behind the curve)

I think mods in general will have more team play due to the lack of points, and less reason for people to run around like Rambo whoring stats.
