We're working on that.

GrossKopf mit hauptsaechlich Luft? ;)

That is why this is a soft release, for forum goers. The other option was to not release anything until tonight, until we have all the direct-links lined up, etc.

The full public release will be made when the direct-link mirrors are ready.

In the meantime, all I can say is that I highly recommend using the torrent and that if your internet provider has not crippled them, they are your best option even once the direct-link mirrors are available.

Just plain and simple "BigHead". :)

I'd say that posting a news item on totalbf2.com kinda makes this the full public release.... I don't use torrents. I hate them. I did find a link in this thread, which I'm using to download right now. I'm getting around 250kb/s. Kinda sucky, but I'm sure it's better than any torrent I'd find. Fileplanet really needs to have the latest version added... their download manager is fantastic (for us subscribing members!)

Now I just have to read the manual for this mod again so I know what I'm doing... been a long time since I played PR.

Unfortunately that post on totalbf2.com is not our doing...they jumped the gun and took stuff off our file page. If you'll notice we haven't made an official news post on our front page yet.

So, er...bare with us, not everything has gone as intended. :)

There was a misunderstanding with TBF2.

FilePlanet has the latest version.

To the doubters, some torrent stats:
329 seeds
1921 downloads (quite a few people are no longer seeding)
458 people downloading at the moment

Total transfer on the torrent so far: 3.5TB

ghost_dog, there are some Australian mirrors in the first post now.

If you'd like to give torrents a try, use either azureus.sf.net or http://www.utorrent.com to download it.

I quickly tested 0.6, and I must say you've done great job devs.
The sounds and draw distances are great.

I only hope the distance where the weapons and helmets draw isn't harcoded.

Hmm.. I downloaded it and only had a few minutes so I thought I'd just create a local game and run around the map. Crashed as soonas I tried starting... oh well, maybe I'll have time to try a server tonight and see if it crashes.
