Looks good, but..
Good looking mini-mod guys! Some good stuff and models. Questions is, don't you think you should give credit for ideas in your readme.txt? The tunnel vision (thx SH team!), selectable rounds (thx DC-R team!), etc? Some very original ideas you guys put out, some are simply slightly modified copies of previously invented ones.
Anyway, keep up the good work. Maybe hype your original ideas out front and put a "thanks to: xyz for idea zyx" in there for the hard work or hard thinking that is being borrowed.

Bah! People dont usually give credit. I'm not even listed on retired Eve Of Destruction members on their page. Last time I checked I didnt even get credit for my contribution to the manual (quick rundown on the helo flight system).
Come to think of it, not even Goetterfunke is listed as retired EoD member, he started the mod if I'm not mistaken...
So there you go. Take the work and ditch the dead weight
Either way you can always claim to get the ideas from other games. Its not like tunnelvision or multiple ammo selection is rare.

As far as I know PR coded it all themselves and didn't use someone elses work (apart from EA/DICE for obvious reasons) as a base. They just happened to implement the same things someone else did, but it doesn't mean they used their code or anything. I'm sure if they did then they'd have been credited. Although crediting people for their work is very important, I know that from the Operation Flashpoint world. I've had a few mishaps (others "borrowing" our work) in the past. Long story.

Oh well. I know the tunnel vision was totally made by the SH team, a brilliant idea on their part. They pioneered several great, ingenious ideas. I know where the ideas came from, even if they are trickled down to here. Most other mods traded ideas and had a good relationship with the devs. I know that people (cough) look at the code work of other mods to find the most efficient method, even if they do not cut and paste. I'll be highly impressed upon seeing many NEW ideas that have not been done before EVER by OTHER MODS. That would be the tie-breaker would it not? When large content portions are previously done ideas, I suppose it's redundant to even argue IF or HOW it was 'discovered'.
Anyway, that's the way of the world eh? Admit nothing, deny everything, make counter accusations. Keep on trucking!

You mean the monsters are meant to live there?? Damn ..
*Looks in linen closet* Come on guys, you gotta move. Dawdler says you're not supposed live. You're meant to be under the bed ....
Seriously though, it's hard not to come up with an idea such as selectable fire rate, since the military has been using it for the last 40 to 50 years at least. With the tunnel vision, it's possible the idea might have been suggested by someone who played Silent Heroes, but I'm fairly certain the crew here coded/made their version themselves.

I don't deny that modder's look at other mods' code, it's no secret. When I used to mod DC (the original mod named DCR) I looked at code made by DCX, EoD, Tanelorn's Realism (now known as DCR) and FH. I had worked with DCX devs and got permission to use some of their items and I credited everybody for concepts I used. (Also, I have never played Silent Heroes nor am I familiar with anything they've accomplished)
However, for prmm I have not used any mods as reference (aside from Djuice's realism mod for BF2) since they're all for BF42 (well there's BFV too but I've never played it or its mods). Although some of the code is the same, some of the innovative stuff done by BF42 mods are naturally supported by BF2, so I don't bother with them.
If you still don't believe me, well I'm sorry about that, but this is all I have to say.

Just because some of the aspects of this mod are similar to other mods does not mean they were taken from code written by other people. The fact is that the gaming community has a lot of input on what goes into any mod. Where does the community get these ideas? From other games they have played. If you look at any game release close enough you can find similarities in most of them. How many ways can you make a tank move or a plane fly? The fact is that this is a war game and there have been many mods made off of any war game so of course at first glance you might think that some of the changes were taken from other games but without seeing the code you are just assuming it was stolen. Give these guys credit for the hard work they are putting forward and let it be. I for one am grateful for modders, because they are the ones that take time out of their lives and write the code that all of us have asked for. Do you think EA would do that? (Not unless you pay them a lot of money)
So if you have any suggestions or constructive criticism I am sure the devs will be happy to listen otherwise I am sure there are other mods out there that welcome your flames.

Thread locked for obvious reasons.
None of the the accusations presented are innovations from a battlefield mod and have been around in other large scale games well before the BF series even entered production. In addition, the "innovations" you mention have become standard for the majority of realism-oriented, mods, complete games or simulators.
Alpha Crow, you are trying to discredit this mod as you did in the past when we were in discussions with Tanelorn & Garrison. Bringing forth such accusations or any other attempts to instigate will result in a permanent ban. Enjoy your stay.
