The TOW also seems too high and leaves the soldier vulnerable, sandbags low enough to allow the TOW to fire over would help.

i dont understand please explain a lil :)

the tow is to high but it needs lower sandbags ? or have i misunderstood

no hes saying that right now you can't fire over the sandbags very well. he wants it to look like someone whos really dug in, with a line of sandbags maybe 2-3 feet tall facing away from the base (the direction an assault would be comming)

That picture seems like something that the TOWs in game should be. Right now, if I recall correctly, manning a tow means you're pretty much standing up behind the launcher.

Of course, implementing a TOW fireable from a crouched position would probably require a new model and new animation...

the tow's in game are extremely underpowered, they have less affect then a Heavy AT, which is VERY UNrealistic... 1 Tow should destroy a Tank in 1 Single shot

TOW's ought to be more powerful - and they ought be be deployable via commander assets like AA don't you think?

I believe that that might happen in later releases, along with things like sandbags with machineguns.

Yeah it'd be nice to see TOWs as deployable assets. To counter balance it you'd probably have to get rid of all of the TOWS already on the map (apart from main bases and stuff like that) otherwise it'd mess up the balance pretty badly.

i'd be pretty ok w/ that. one more way to make the CO an integral part of the battlefield

The TOW's do need to be given a bit more of an open area to fire. I know that the Steel thunder map is gone for now but it had some terrible TOW placement. One of the TOW's was supposed to cover the bridge but would collide with everything to the point that you could only engage a target if it had moved within 50 feet of you and off to the side.
