Me and my friend thought of 2 unit ideas:
1. Radio Man, Could call support for squad and have same assets as commader also could call air strikes
2. Guard, Could have patrol vehicles and the ability to patrol with dogs and could have sniffer dogs and search dogs in other words different types of dogs but there could be a speacial vehicle to put dogs in

What do you mean ???
Dogs would be great, trained to sniff out bombs and stuff, attacking civilians .......the possibilities are endless.
But alas, I'm sure it's hardcoded.

Solution to the Civillian problem! Use dogs as a playable class! "All" it'd need was a player model about the same size/shape as a german shepard or basset hound!
They'd get an on-screen indicator pointing to the location of IEDs within 50m, and people within 75m.
They'd also have a long long sprint, and two attacks, both teeth-based. One would "kill"/"arrest" civillians with no penalty but have no effect on combatants, and the other would kill combatants AND civies, and implement the wrongful-death penalties.
Would be hilarous! And possibly quite good fun lol

That's the third commandment of the BF2 Engine: "Thou shall not support animals!"
Aside from the modeling and animation, it would be pretty easy to do. Bomb sniffing bight be a bit tough, but I'm sure it could be done with a good trick.
As for Radio Operators, in BF2, EVERYONE is a radio operator, Squad leaders are just better at it. It would just add a class for something that's already being done.

Actually it'd be really interesting. The "smell" side of it would be fun to play with, including a whole bunch of countermeasures - like being on the other side of a river stopping your smell reaching enemy hounds. *Everyone* would be shown by the nose- no distinction between teams, so they'd have to stay on top of situational awareness too.
Also, *really* loud noises like tanks firing etc could frighten them sh-tless, (blurry effect, dulling of noises etc) so they've have to be kept away from heavy weaponry etc. Likewise, using a stick of C4 to confuse a nearby dog player for 2 minutes would be possible.
Would be good to keep them a set distance from friendly troops too- say, 100m from a friendly and a bleed sets in, so they stay close to their "handlers"...
Oh, they'd have to see in black and white, too.
Lol, this has no chance in hell of making it into the mod but would actually be really interesting to play, methinks.

why not have the radio guy be able to listen in on the enemy so what they type and say you could tell you team. but has to say in the main base and has no weapon and only one per team

The way BF2 handles the radio, that's impossible.
And, crossing a river doesn't stop a blood hound, not sure about some of the lesser nosed dogs.

I will give it to you, at least it is an original idea (dogs) however it is a bit out there. I do know that dogs were used in Vietnam to sniff out traps, trip wires and other things.
It would be funny to see a whole pack of dogs jump out of the back of a warrior on Al Basrah and ravage the city
