Yes, curse those people who've been playing less long than anyone else, damn their hides!

Why, when *I* started playing Project Reality, *everyone* started playing it from day one with a full set of PR-applicable skills and no-one ever made mistakes!

If these uppity new people who've blindly downloaded a mod that sounds interesting from some random site on the internet like Fileplanet have the cheek to come here and try and learn how to play *our* game, why naturally we should do what we can to exclude them from the community and PROVE without a doubt to anyone who's ever called the PR communit elitist that yes, that is indeed the case!

My stance on newbies is this: I will gladly help them but I expect them to have at least cast a brief glance on the FAQ's. Not doing so is disrespectful towards the other players. There are so many mini-FAQ's, guides and even video tutorials available.

I've been playing since 0.1 therefore I'm an elite veteran. People should be coming to me to ask when I play and keep tabs on the servers I play ;-)

Seriously I have played since 0.1 and it would be nice to have a way to hook up with more experienced players. But really all I do is check the server player list and look for some familiar names and join. Right now that is very difficult, last night I could only find three names on TG I knew but the server was jammed full (kept jumping to 63 as people tried to grab one of the reserved slots). Rest of the top servers were names I didn't recognize :-(

Add people to buddy lists and such if you've played with people you found to be decent players.

Forming a veteran's guild is just damn elitist. No-one knows the *best* way to play the game- because the nature of the game is a reactive one in which events are different each map.

To paraphrase Henry Beecher: Strategy guides do not maketh the man.

I joined not because I consider myself a 'veteran' or to be an elitist (only played since 0.4) but because the other PR clan was full and I want a quick and dirty short cut to find other people who play PR the way the devs intended. I have limited play time every week, and this seemed like a semi-workable solution to seeing what servers have the highest concentration of serious players at the time I log in.
