Post by benjaminosauras »

How about, considering we are aiming for reality..... Manual Transmission on all ground vehicles....????

Having to actually shift gears doesn't really bring much to the game. Plus, most military vehicles I've seen and been into have automatic transmissions :s

Would be fun to play with though.

*pulls up to the side of a friendly Landy and revs loudly, challenging the driver*

Yeah it'd be great for having a good time, but it's not really necessary, y'know? :D

More guns and bullets make bad guys go away faster,
which in turn makes everyone in the area safer.

Maybe an option to put on or off, but not a main thingy... You need to be busy watching for mines or enemies, not trying to get a tank in 4th gear.

Manual transmission I don't think is entirely possible unless you use Pr's variant of speed boosts. Headlights are possible but people are just too lazy to get around to it or just don't even consider it.

Heh, funny idea. Would be cool to see, I shudder at the thought of an automatic landy...

Yeh, I guess its not an essential thing, but Im 99.9% sure that the Landrovers are Manual Transmission. I would persume the Humvee's aren't but not sure. Tanks are definately.

ROFL.

Yeah, avoid using caps locks for whole paragraphs please, it makes you look of limited intelligence. People flame you for it, and I have to clean up the mess.

I'd rather have the lights, really. Put it onder "weapon number" 1 (for the driver) to turn 'em on or off. Would be awesome :p .

LOL x2

I think this topic is a testament to the Devs work so far. The fact that we have to find things like the type of transmission to talk about changing means the mod team has done it's job. :D

Congrats, that is the rudest thing I have read today... Comments like that clearly demonstrate your lack of social-intellegence and respect for others.

Perhaps you will raise the "rudeness benchmark" with your next post.

You clearly :p get on with it! Heh.

Seriously though aside from this just being a nice little addition to the game it'd make driving something you had to focus on a little more as opposed to something you can generally do with one hand while perhaps treating yourself to some fresh orange juice... maybe. Are tanks really automatic nowerdays by the way? That must be a ******* of a gearbox to maintain.

Nobodies commented on whether this is feasible yet though. Anyone?
