PR has even better graphics than BF2? And the engine has its limits, otherwise the devs would've made it look even better than it does now..

Lol, but that's your rig, not being able to handle the graphics!

And about the crashes, one person doesn't have any crashes at all, the other has tons of 'em. I have 1 crash per week, tops. Other games crash too. You don't buy those either? Anyways, crashes are all dependant on loads of other things than just the game.

Don't mean to be offensive in any way, but I just think the argument of "PR has far too many bugs, so I don't buy it" is pretty lame...

they really shoulden't be making games that require high end machines just to play. even crysis will run on midrange computers. Again, in vanilla BF2, it almost never crashes, and I have it totally maxed out across the board. and when a game is full of bugs, no, I dont buy it.

BTW, my specs:
1.86 Ghz Intel Core 2 duo
256MB Asus Radeon X1600PRO
2GB DDR2667 RAM dual channel mode

PR runs on mid-end pc's too :-\. It all depends on the video-settings you choose. You can't expect to play on full detail with 8xAA on a FX5200, really.

So, the devs should make less good-looking textures and everything, so all the mid-end pc's can run on "high"? That's lame :D . Next stop: low-end pc's can't play PR, let's throw away the detailed textures, decrease the map sizes and... man, let's go back to Vanilla!
No, if the engine can output nice graphics, just let it output nice graphics. If your rig can't handle that, try optimizing your video-settings so the game runs nice 'n smooth on your box.

Anyhow, I'm gonna end my part of this conversation. It's getting late and it's pointless to continue. If you think PR is buggy, fine. If you think people shouldn't be making games that require a high-end pc to get the full detail, also fine.

Let us enjoy the pride and beauty that PR is and thank the devs for making the most wonderful game (mod) ever!

Btw, a tip that might help: perhaps increasing the size of your page file solves the whole stuttering "issue"? Try increasing it to 3GB or so (and don't let Windows decide what size to use, it causes terrible page file caching stuff, which causes loads of hick-ups).

Yea If I were to buy BF2 now, I would only purchase it for PR, Forgotten hope 2 and perhaps USI because I like the vintage russian armour in it.

On another note, I played the latest version of PoE2, holy christ what a noob fest, and its just too damn arcadish, I cant stand it.

People running around everywhere, shooting at each other in circles.
Running vehicles into each other, haveing shootouts with RPG's... it was just so phuckin retarded.
I cant play it anymore, PR is the mod for me.

Rant over :-P

To cheer you up my friend, this is my 8th REALITY mod. Just play a game, wait a month then start to search the web for the word "Reality".

(or be just as snobbish as me - buy a game after a mate says "it has a REALITY mod!")
