weird

Post by ratim »

Dear readers,

I'm Dutch, sorry for my bad english

Project reality is my favorite game since a couple of months, but there is one thing i wont understand.

When i join a game i get VERY MUCH lag and computer problems.
In 64size servers the game crashes to windows sometimes, but in 32size servers the game is going smoothly.

I play BF2 on highest graphs with out any problems, so my question is why i get problems with PR!

Ive got this system:

Core2duoE6400 with 1gb
Geforce 7900GTO 512mb

It seems to be more than enough, but i read something about dualcore that the 2 cores conflict with PR so that you have to turn one off.

Is this the same problem core2duo?

on medium graphs the game run normal in a 32size server.

Thanks,

Tim

1 GB Ram is the problem.
You need 2 GB Ram to play PR all maxed out.

I suggest you get another 1 GB Ram, it's not that expensive and you have a very good computer that get's slowed down at the moment. :)

Yeah, We just got my older brothers computer in yesterday, We got it running today with PR, It runs on full graphics and everything, he has the 2gb memory and anything else you can think of for gaming in this crappy shell of a computer. Its an old dell with new parts in it. And my current one can barely run PR on the lowest setting.

For sure its the memory. I was using 1GB for awhile with BF2/PR and it was a HUGE bottleneck for the game. Upgraded to 2GB and it made a big difference in load times and reduction of in game lag.

Everyone always says "you need more than one gig, n fact i suggest 3 gigs"

But i have only 1 gig and PR works great i have never crashed to desktop.
EVER.

I have 2 gigs but I run it on Meduim too, There's no point in wasting performance on something you can't really see.
