I just love when they use M4 at ranges of 20 m and instaprone, saves me so much bullets hitting them running, when they lie down :p

Well I have to confess.
I shot 1 guy by accident today and his buddy starting shooting at me so I shot him on purpose.
Then he started a kick vote against me and I got pissed and knifed him then left.
The first accidental TK was insta-punished, before I could click sorry which really pisses me off.
I should not have done it but ........
I think I am burnt out on PR because I am losing my cool with some of the stupid shyt too fast.
Gonna play POE and RO for a few days and decompress.
And as the windshield melts
My tears evaporate
Leaving only charcoal to defend.
Finally I understand the feelings of the few.

LOL. Lets make a club. The one thing that irritates me more than anything now are instapunish.

One character ran between me and a hostile supportgunner duking it out 5 meters apart. He off course died, not by the supportgunner but by my FF, resulting that I also got killed by the tango. Instapunish.

I was FUMING! And stupidly enough I ask WHY DID YOU PUNISH? Turns out it was because I am a noob and I should be more careful next time.

Just talking about it makes me fume. Only comfort I have is when he got killed next time around, I stood next to his dead body (as a medic) and VOIPED to my squad: He should be more careful next time.

And thats the problem. Anger issues like this has a tendency to spiral out of control. Always forgive. Try to forget. Play on.

As you started to confess your TKs I will do the same.

Yesterday I had to intentionaly TK two allies on Ghost Train. I was british and my squad was after some heavy fighting been able to get to south bunker from behind and we found enemy commander truck, bunker and AA close to each other on the road. There were enemies and allies around but no one tried to destroy those vital assets (and spawn points) no one in my squad had some AT or Eng so we were just killing enemies around for some time (max 20s). Then someone spawned very close to me at com. truck and was holding a shotgun, I killed him and took his kit. I have dropped mine imidiately on the road and threw C4 into bunker. My squad was warned through VOIP and everyone started shouting "Bail Out". Most of other squad understood that a big KABOOM is going to happen and left the vicinity. But two soldiers in bunker were so obsessed with shooting some shadows on the bridge that they had to be sacrificed to a great god called "Demonkracy" and for the Queen naturally to. Surprisingly I was not punished.
Another time I had to TK a fellow soldier on EJOD who was healing me in cover near W. City. Enemy came from around corner and for few sec he was just looking at us on the ground so I gave him a lead Greetings from my G3. Unfortunately medic (sorry ThomasKunze) was between us and died too.

I believe those are justified TKs so making punishments for TK more severe is not that great idea. I hope that many new PR players will learn (after being kicked for negative score) how to check their targets and use spotting BEFORE they begins to fire like Ramboclone.

I tked someone that shot the civvy I snuck up on and was moments from capturing. I walked over to him and executed him with the knife for war crimes.

In my own - admittedly extreme - opinion, there is no such thing as a justified deliberate TK, with ONE exception: TK Spawnkillers. These...these....idiots, should be terminated on sight. Ideally spawn TKs would be an insta-kick.

Deliberate TK's are hard to forgive and should be punished BUT accidental ones will always happen. To bad people don't give the shooter time to apologize before pressing PgDn.

It's bad enough that the accidental happened but to punish for it is just not going to help the team in the end, right?

Most squads members understand and VoIP helps out for a quick apology. Think most punishes for accidentals happen between members of different squads.

The accidental TK's will always be higher by newcomers, it is up to the more seasoned squad members to foster them.

It really pisses me off when people insta-punish :-x Sometimes you just walk into the wrong spot or accidents happen, not everyone ist blatantly trying to tk you. Especially people running over mines, does the big red skull grab your attention? If it doesn't GTFO of the drivers seat and find your glasses. I think TK's need a spawn penalty if your punished, no insta slay is needed.

I don't really agree with the whole justified TK's. Even spawn killers, I have found that if you ignore them and don't retaliate they get bored with you. They are looking to get a rise out of people and love to see people get the negative scores.

I confessed because I too think teamkilling is wrong and quickly gets out of hand.
I was very impressed back in .3 when I joined at the amount of "forgives" that I saw in PR.

I usually forgive, but its sometimes really odd, when one guy mows down bunch of friendlies and just goes on, like nothing happened, doesnt say or type 'sorry'

JohnnyPissoff wrote:What impressed me the most when I first came to this mod over a year ago was the generosity of the PR community to forgive accidental TKs. IMO most team-based new players feel shame and humility when they TK. Punishing by default without considering the mindset of the TKer is contagious and will only lead to a more disgruntled player base.
After the above post ^ I sure hate to be perceived as being hypocritical for punishing a TK today so..."If you're out there reading this Fuzzhead, sorry bro I seriously meant to forgive. I hit the wrong damn key".

Punishment should not be given by a single person but by the group as a whole.

If you kick or punish a person then at least 1/2 or all of the team should be the ones who press the Page Up. That way the team killer has a chance to explain and less rash decisions are made.

TK punish should be removed from ALL servers.
You get the negative score either way, punish/forgive is just a psychological thing...

Well, truth be told I have been stupid enough to fire upon a friendly. I have accidentally shot somebody spawning in on me when SL. I have punished. I have deliberatly TK'd. I've forgotten which side I was on and shot friendlies. I have crashed cars. Put the spawncar in the river. I have put the APC in harms way. Run straight into: Crossfire, covering fire and a massive firefight. I've compromised my squad and put us directly into harms way because I've done something stupid. I have revived someone and gotten us both killed the split second later.

Oh, and the typical "GRENADE" (it hits the door frame and richocets right back at my entire squad).

To sum it up, I've been a complete idiot sometimes while gaming. Good thing that quite alot of you forgive.

(But in my defence, he said I could cross the river at that exact point and thats how the spawncar got in the river!)
