Lets say your running down a street in PRMM and a squadmate is shot down all the sudden. Without blood, he just falls over. Although you know hes dead or critically injured, in real life you woulda think he just tripped on something and knocked himself out...lol.

With blood however, he slamms to the ground, you see a little blood splatter and a wound in the small of his back to resemble him getting shot there.
Yes, he would fall down as if he tripped. No blood would squirt out anywhere. If it did, the particles would be too small for you to see unless you were standing right behind him.

In the movies, they strap these vests on people with pumps that explode. When the shot comes, the person presses a button and one of the little pumps explodes out of his jacket simulating the "effect".

Have you ever stabbed yourself with something sharp.. like a needle? You'll notice that no blood squirts out. A bullet is the same concept... it penetrates the skin like a very large needle. Blood starts slowly gushing out within seconds.. but there is no "squirting" or "splatter".

The only times you could ever get a "squirt" or "splatter" is when using very high caliber weapons. They will literally rip through your guts and blow them throw your body and out of your back.

Even explosions aren't bloody. When something explodes, so much dust & dirt fills the air that you practically see no blood.

Gore is only added to intensify the effect because people are used to it from watching movies.

'[R-PUB wrote:Artnez.com']I hope you were kidding in the entire post. If not...

You have probably never seen anything truly 'gore'-ish in real life. If you would have, you'd never want to see it again (video game, tv,..anything..).

Anyway, I think a blood is pretty unnecessary. Maybe a tiny dose here or there.

Blood doesn't squirt out when someone gets shot. Nor is there a smoke effect like they have in the movies.

The metal bullet just whizzes inside the body really fast and blood comes after it has time to seep out.
Was kidding alright :) My opinion is that some blood & gore effects could replace the X-hit markers in BF2. 2nd thing - there is another thread here about how your body should react to shots - loosing health until treated by a medic etc. Would be an addition to leave some blood imprints on the floor / walls (CS) so like when u were shot u'd be kinda easier to find / track for the enemy via the blood imprints..Anyways, BF2 is missing a LOT of stuff of which blood for me is just about 3% so hopefully this MOD comes out and saves the game for me.

P.S. Blood imprints could maybe also help medics to see who needs treatment from their team rather than having to look at the HUD map which is in my opinion also something unrealistic . . . not that i don't see my comrades fall in battles, i mean for instance after respawning by the Squad Leader or rejoining your team or such situations . . .
