I really can't understand the complete lack of AT infantrymen on this map sometimes. I don't play Kashan a lot, mainly because it requires excellent teamwork from everyone to work well (and public servers aren't exactly known for their TW) but also because I've been playing Basrah loads. But whenever I do, sometimes I'm the only Heavy/light-AT rifleman on my ENTIRE team. Consequently I'm also extremely good at it, so I suppose any other anti-tankers would ruin my glory.

I had a great time on kashan reasently, my squad was holed up in one of those destructible buildings. An apc apeared over the horizion. We let it come close and ambushed it with 2 L-AT. Then 2 tanks appaered, we thought about hiding in our building, but then a tank fired on us and most of the building collapsed in a cloud of dust. Im not sure how we got out of the ruin alive but it was very cinematic. We ran for the hills and then the tanks used their chainguns...

Thats what i love about this game - at times its SO Cinematic.

Another Moment last Night, Near the Bunkers i was having a battle with an APC crew, Nailed 4 of them in the First instance on my own, i was pinned behind some Big Steel Containers by an Enemy sat in a Hummer Supressing me From the main entrance to the north of me, But it was so Cinematic Seeing him see me - and me Legging it To get out of the way of a Shower of 50.cal Bullets that could be heard Richoching around on the containers !

The First Couple of Bullets must have missed my Face by a Millimeter lol !! so i kept my cover shooting back every now and again, and continued attacking the Enemies to the rear of me killing 2 on the roof and one on the Ground behind some boxes - then the rest of the squad came after me - so i managed to Smoke out in 2 directions as a diversion and Pushed Forward behind the last container towards the Hummer, Got a Few rounds off at him but Some Sneaky git had Flanked me and Shot me pointblank in the back of the head !

Sorry for the Waffling, was just such an amazing adrenaline fueled moment.

:D :D :D Kashan FTW !

Kashan is my favorite map. It's also probably the worst if people try to play it like vanilla. I've seen some damn stupid stuff happen on it.

No 32 player version helicopter love? :(

I have only found one server doing it, it is nice to have a change from the jets, I really like being gunner! ;-)

Anyway, thank you for putting up a server with kashan frequently, I really like it. :-)

Yea that tune is awesome, it gets my toes tapping at the load screen every time. I almost regret clicking on join, because I know the song will now fade away.

Search for it on Google. It's the Battlefield 1942 Theme song.

We used that theme song as a sort of way of saying "This is how Battlefield was meant to be!"

hehe.

Not saying Kashan is perfect, but you can have some brilliant tank battles on there.

imo the 32p version is better than the 64 (32p is helicopters 64p is identical except for jets in stead of helicopters).

Speaking of jets, does the USMC even use the F-15 or the A10?

I just don't like it . It is so big that it take ages to reach some flag only to see that 4 enemy tanks on the mountains around it are waiting for you ... If it was a forest map , it would be okay . But it is too open and have enormous view range

Yea but thats the intention.
Battles in PR take long..the way it's supposed to be :)

If you see those tanks waiting, come up with a solution.
Get a littlebird to distract them etc etc etc

I love outflanking tanks and taking out 3+ from hiddin positons. Me n my mate often rack up 50+ tank kills on that map.

Love teh destroyable towns and raising hell with infantry trying to take em

the tank battles are amazing, so long as you have a good tank crew and other tanks working along side you :D
