Heavy Sniper kit?

Post by DavidP »

Basically a Sniper with a .50 cal rifle. Would it be a good Idea? I think it would as today i saw the effectiveness of the M82 when one of my squadmates took down 3 humvees on kashan from north bunker. So what do you guys think? Yes no Maybe?(Please no flames or i will hunt you down :-x )

i like the idea, but if it was used in the mod i think there should only be 1 heavy sniper kit, and even then it might inspire those idiots "who always think their better than you" to TK for it.....

Have you ever looked at the "Already Suggested Suggestions" thread? My suggestion is that you do.

Like it. However, it should simply be like it was in .5 basrah -- a pickup kit within a factions main base.

I was thinking the same thing one per side per map. Also what guns would each side use?

if the devs used it in the mod id imagine them giving each team an equivalent to the M82 so here goes (and let the flaming begin)
US team would get the M82 sniper rifle
England would get the AS50 sniper rifle
Russia would get the OSV-96 sniper rifle
China would get the M99B sniper rifle
MEC would get the TEI M89SR sniper rifle (its an Israel weapon)
im preety sure theres other large caliber sniper rifles for each country and all this is hypothetical.

I think the US team would rather have the M107 instead of the M82. And last I checked, the AS-50 was built in England but meant for the US Special Forces. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, I don't go and look for them so I know where one is on Qwai and that's about it for .6 stuff.

Actually the British use both the Barrett M82 (See Picture)

And the AW50 (See Attachment)

No one ever used the M95 on Al Basrah 0.5, so why would you want to make this a kit? So that you don't have to go look for the eeaster egg?

Are you kidding me!!!!! Game starts in 3,2,1... four players run like mad to the little building to grab M95 kit, triumphent player emerges and runs to nearest hummve, solo hummve drives off into the sunset later to be ditched. Repeat.

Do not make it a pick-up kit for the reasons listed above.
1 per map on large maps as a request kit.
