APC Splash Damage and Coax

APC Splash Damage and Coax

I was playing Oman and was on the US side and nobody i mean NO ONE was using an APC so i thought rite ill take one so i did so along with another guy CAV something or other, anyway i get to shore and take the high road up those mountains and start shooting away i hit an MEC guy 4 times with the Coax gun from about 40m and he didnt die (another burst finished him) but the strange thing was i saw the Blood puff for every shot i thought heh no biggy the guys dead now so i switched the 20mm cannon rounds to the HETI Anti Personel rounds and use them against MEC soldiers hiding behind the AA and the UAV trailer i have to fire at least 3 rounds to kill one of them.

So what im asking is make the splash damage on the HETI rounds better and make the accuracy less to balance it?

Hmm...i think it`s the crappy Hit Detection of the BF2 engine again. I`m wondering if splash damage would change anything. If it doesn`t register the hit it won`t give you any splash damage as well?
Only guessing...i have no idea how the engine works!

I found the HEAT autocannon rounds to be very deadly, at least in the LAV. Couple of rounds in the close proximity of an infantryman, and he's toast (assuming you don't hit every one of those rounds right on target). Coax is very good too, and I often take out people prone on ridgelines with it, after correcting for bullet drop.

The APC cannon and coax can be quite deadly if employed properly, I found. It sounds like you were hitting some lag there.
