trying to get back on topic...

obviously the insurgent AKs need more deviation.
irl, just as we have seen, insurgents don't stand a chance against a conventional army in a firefight-even when they (the insurgents) have done planning and had the element of surprise

war veteran should be made a limited kit with the accurate AK47
maybe in .7 another insurgent variant base class could replace the war vet on spawn menu

this would force the ins team to rely more on unconventional warfare, not civis and ak47 sharp shooters
imo desert storm is fun but unrealistic because of the way the map forces the insurgents to fight...

just my 2 cents

*btw i luv ur sig l.o.brow

On Helmand, the insurgents already don't stand a chance at any decent range. The amount of them I have taken out simply by lying down, looking out over a ridge, and sniping with my rifleman gun...for the insurgents to stand a chance, they have to fight up close and personal.

I've watched my buddies get blown up, I've watched one burn to death trapped in a humvee, I've watched one bleed out after a mortar strike, I've picked up the piece of a friends body armor because it was the only thing left with organic material on it.

yes, I find it funny when insurgents die, even more so when I got to do it. The only reason you have a position of 'moral high ground' is that you have someone doing the work of keeping those that wish you harm from reaching you. Next time you want to insult soldiers for laughing about killing their enemy, think for a minute about maybe, just maybe, they have reasons too do so that you couldn't possibly understand, and calling them callous and evil is only showing your ignorance.

Laughing and joking about it desensitizes you to the violence and mental anguish involved with killing someone and the chance of being killed. This allows you to do your job better, with less hesitation. This isn't some manifestation of ptsd or some other fancy term, its simple fact. It would be like me trying to comment about someone's mental facilities after having lost their parents. I have never had that happen, so why in the hell would I think I have any right to do so?

Kenwayy, I wasn't talking about soldiers laughing, but people who have never been in a war, sitting behind their computers, having a laugh at something like this.

Exactly. Nobody was talking anything about soldiers here. There is fundamental difference between a soldier and someone watching blown out brains at his computer and considering that fun.

Is it wrong to have, like, no emotion whatsoever when you see pictures of an insurgent with his brains splattered all over the pavement?

Well, I don't want to inflame this but I have to say, no matter what they have been taught, by whom, they are still people.
They may be people who are better off dead but they are still people.
When you start to say that they aren't people ( I know nobody did ) then you are on the downhill slide to something really bad.

As Kenway pointed out, there are many ways for the actual participants to deal with the stress and horror they are experiencing, but when we sit back, safe at home, and laugh, pass jusgement and determine that someone is no longer a " person " then we have started something truly frightening.
And as the windshield melts
My tears evaporate
Leaving only charcoal to defend.
Finally I understand the feelings of the few.

Why should he get a ban for that?

If he get's one, so should the other guy.

Anyways, this thread should be locked.

Well if yuo are capable of that just because someone posted something then maybe there are deeper problems.
But I think it more likely that you were being sarcastic and it was not well recieved.
