AMD Athlon 64 3800
1Gb Corsair Platinum Series (used to be 2Gb but one crapped out on me)
nVidia 7800GT
I have to run everything on medium, which is weird because I see some machines worse than mine and they're saying they run on high. Maybe they run at 800x600 or something?
Anyway, I get a lot of lag with geometry and textures on high, so I stick to medium. Graphics don't make much difference to me anyway.

Intel Core2Duo 6400 (2.13GHz)
2gig RAM (DDR2 800)
GeForce 7900 GT (256mb)
Creative Audigy2
All the graphics are max'd out and I have zero stuttering. Maps load quick and I'm usually one of the first people ready to play. Sound works awesome in 5.1 EAX and I have no problems with my mic.
I spent just under $1k on my upgrade:
Mobo, chip, ram, graphics-card
It looks like a lot of guys have pretty high-end cards. I've been maxing out graphics since I got this setup in September w/o problem. Obviously future games will require more but I don't see any benefit to the 512+ graphics cards at this point in time. And SLI seems like a total waste of money. Always has.

For PR I play exclusively on Tactical Gamer server as "vanity11"
For ArmA I play exclusively on Tactical Gamer (coop and evo) as "Vanity"

AMD Opteron 165 @ 3Ghz
4GB RAM
Geforce 8800GTX
Creative Audigy 2 ZS
Windows Vista Ultimate x64
Runs pretty fine now with latest drivers.
I usually play at 1600x1200, but I tested it up to 2048x1536.

I've got pretty much the same except 1.5Gb RAM, 256Mb 5500 and a pentium 4 2.6 Ghz. Everything on low, 800 x 600 with a view distance 80 - 90% (I could probably manage 100%) and it runs fine except for some spots on some maps, parts of Operation Phoenix really kills it though.Deadfast wrote:Athlon XP 2600+
FX 5700 128MB vRAM DDR
1 GB DDR 400MHz RAM
Running on XP Windows Home 32 bit, that's already falling apart...
Everything on low @ 1024x786, most maps runs quite fine ~30FPS, got some probs on Operation Phoenix map.

Two rivers rolling by, Two waters side by side, Never touching,
They remain, When they meet the waters change,
Two rivers, one name, River flows with many names,
Water leading waters aim, Finding ways to change again,
Finding yet another name.

That is the biggest problem I have found with this type of thread. Everyone lists their specs and then say "everything on high". Well I know when I switched from a 19"CRT at 1280x1024(?) to my 20" LCD at 1680x1050 my "everything on high" system was not happy. So resolution plays a big part in these systems yet most people neglect to mention it.
AMD64 3700 @ 2.9
7800GTX (475-1300)
2gb OCZ platinum
Audigy 2
Viewsonic 20.1" LCD
I play with a mix of high and medium (dynamics set to med, big performance hit on high). I play with 2xAA and 8xAF. Before I could play with everything on high (2xAA and 4xAF) before the upgrade to LCD.
Note: Just purchased a used 8800GTS 640mb off e-bay (yet to get it though

Either tommorow or tuesday, I'm getting:
C2D e6750
Gigabyte P35-DS3R
2 GB Crucial Ballistix 800
eVGA 8800gts 320mb
Hopefully it will be able to run at max settings.
Anyone have a similar setup? How does it run?
That's pretty much my new rig. Upgraded to a 6750 on a P35C-DS3R yesterday. Unfortunately one of my RAM sticks (Cosair stuff, PC 6400) was a dud so I'm only on 1 Gb. I'm installing BF2, 1.41 and then PR 0.609 today so should be able to let you know exactly how well it performs (on a 7900GTX GPU though).
You'll definitely be able to run with everything on max, assuming you've got a decent soundcard. It will also run very very smoothly.
I've just finished overclocking my 6750. Not been able to jack it up very high without pushing the voltages further than I'm comfortable doing, but I've got a very easy 3.3Ghz overclock from a 420Mhz FSB, with RAM set to 1:1 (which will be a 2.0 "DRAM multiplier" in the bios), with timings relaxed to 5-5-5-18 instead of the stock 4-4-4-12. That's at 1.38 instead of 1.35V.
Enjoy!

CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.40GHz
System RAM: 1023.0 MB
Video Card: Radeon X1600 Series 512MB AGP
I run 1280x1024 everything Medium except dynamic light and texture filtering which are set to high and aa off.
I guess I get about 20 fps as a minimum and maybe run 30 average but I got used to it. THe only problem I have is long load times. I load al basrah in 3 minutes and 13 seconds while others do it in a minute. I always get into the game late. Some guys on tactical gamer said my harddrive was the issue both its set on Ultra DMA.
Some said it has to do with slow ram. I have this and I'd like it if someone told me the speed. I have two of these DUAL IN-LINE MEMORY MODULE, 256, 333M, 32X64, 8K, 184 and one of 512 MB which I can't find the specs for. couple questions concerning ram, is having three sticks instead of four or two bad? and do all the sticks have to run on the same speed? Although its 1 GB of ram, is it slow or ineffiecient?
I tried turning off all the unnecessary processes but still get no gain in loading speed.
