Squad Title:Coded Title PR forum users
I think it'd be nice if we forum user Sl'ers titled our Squads with a little something extra to indicate that the SL is a forum user. It'd be nice to link up with guys from here once in a while...and nice to know a decent guy is leading the squad.

I'm not sure what you are getting at here. I'm talking about naming your squad whatever you want...but at the end of it adding a tag indicating you are a Forum user.Jonny wrote:How about calling the squad 'SQUAD #' where # is the number of the squad?
It's both pointless and rarely used (I've only used it twice)
eg. INFANTRY - PRF with the PRF standing for "Project Reality Forums". It seems trivial but I'd like to know who is from the forums and would for sure join their squad first for obvious reasons.

I think most decent SL's are also on the forums..
I like it when squads use names like:
INF (Infantry squad)
APC (Apc squad)
ARMOR (Tank squad)
SUPINF (Supporting Infantry Squad with HAT/AA/support weapons, etc)
SUPORT (Commander building / Vehicle repairs/rearming)
AIRBRN (Airbourne infantry squad)
TRANS (Transport squad)
PILOT (pilot squad)
ATKHELI (Attack Helicopter squad)
JETS (Jet Aircraft squad)
etc

Too bad you can't fit all those letters and spaces when trying to make a custom squad. I think 10 characters, including spaces, is the maximum for naming a squad. Is there are way to modify this to include more letters and spaces in squad names?VipersGhost wrote:eg. INFANTRY - PRF with the PRF standing for "Project Reality Forums". Unfortunate that you have run into squads like that. I always call my squad Voip Squad, but it isn't so I can fill it up faster and get a kit...it is to actually use VOIP. And I don't say Armor, support, etc b/c I like to give the commander the ability to dictate what he needs from my squads.'[R-DEV wrote:fuzzhead']i dont join "VOIP" squads anymore...
the last 5 "VOIP" squads ive joined, NO ONE has said a word over voip in the squad, and the squad leader usually had a sniper rifle...
i think people make squad like that just so they can fill it up to get their kit in a hurry![]()

I've seen that happen, but if I choose to SL, I always name the SQ "VOIP TW" and if no one responds/replys/follow orders I'll kickem'.'[R-DEV wrote:fuzzhead']i dont join "VOIP" squads anymore...

I may get a member who happens to not have a mic, but if that sm contributes in the spirit of teamwork (responding by radio commands "ok, you got it") it's all good.

If you want to use the -F thingy, be my guest
. Personally, I just go along with "alpha" or whatever. Sometimes "TW VOIP", but nowadays it isn't really necessary (almost all have mics). If you're in my squad and cooperate (w/w-out a mic), it's cool. If you don't > KICK.
Or I go DUTCHBAT to get some Dutch Clogg-masters in
