Squad bug

Hello

Love the new version!

But, is there something being done about the goddamn squad-bug? Any idea what is causing it, and if it's even possible to fix?

Much appreciated if that could be fixed.

I never came across the squadbug on a PR Server, but I know from our VBF2 ranked, that you can only fix it by restarting the server. We think one of the major issues that cause squadbug is when the first round played since the last server-restart people quit the server and leaving behind a non sufficient number of players to start the round. Since in PR default min.players = 2 I think this rarely occurs in PR. Correct me if I'm wrong. Hope I could help anyway.

I think, there's also a way to get more than 6 people into a squad, havent tried yet

Thats not a feature, its a bug ^^
But its easy to get rid of that - just kick one or leave the squad yourself.

yeah was on the server aswell today.

the one team was only allowed to make one squad but the other team functioned proper... wierd

There is more then one squadbug.
1. You cant leave your squad, effect on the screen above.
2. One team cant create any squads at all.
3. One team can only create 3 squads.

Is that PR specific? 'cause I never came across #1. I know #2 and #3 quite well, and I know the squadbug "more than 6" in a squad. But i always was able to leave the squad. Just had it recently on PR, but I just left that squad and joined another. Or does this concern only the SL who opened the Squad?
But as far as I remember, I opened that Squad... weired....

I only saw squads with 7/6 so far, but 9/6 is.... well... wrong.

Don't think so, 'cause you only can communicate with 5 of them.

I don't really know, how the conditions are for bug #1, but it just happend to me 2 days ago.
As the 2nd round on a map started, I still was in the same squad like the round before,
but now as SL. And I couldn't leave, had to rejoin the server.

Well, to me it appears to happen when you have squads with more than 6 people. No way to leave squads. This problem wasn't as big in 0.5, so to me it appears to be related to 0.6.

Some ppl say the squadbug is related to teamswitching players (not autoswitch), probably in conjunction with multiple rounds on one map (>2). Dunno if that is true.
