You haven't played Mestia, have you?
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

They're pretty useless on Mestia or so I heard. I remember someone typing in the chat the ATVs should be renamed "flat terrain vehicle"...

Lol...oh man, I flew around a corner the other day on Mestia and had a head-on collision of Cheesebit's Technical truck with my ATV....boom! Funny stuff.

I wondered if we used them as well -- I mean, in game you can't control them, and they seem to BLOW UP by going through rough terrain...

They're too loud for recon, one seater so you can't get much done, don't give ammo so you can't use it for long range sabotage, and again with the rough terrain.

They are an excellent tool for brit snipers to get into position quickly, thus being able to give recon on mines in the road or snipe the ambusher themselves. Just make sure you use them far away so no one is hunting you down.

They make such a racket, I can hear them being driven from almost anywhere on Mestia.

Yeh they do in real life, my friend has a YFZ450 he got banned from his own fields because it was too loud.

Im sorry but the Dirtbike and the Quad in PR are nothing like the real life counterparts, problems:
1:They accelerate faster than moto GP
2:They top out (top speed) too fast the XR400 (British army dirtbike) tops out at around 80-90 mph
3:If you go over all terrain you most likely end up splattered all over the terrain
4:If you take a sharp turn you loose control
5:They both sound totally wrong

honestly i searched the MoD media gallery for bikes as they did have some intresting bikes in action, but it was either this pic or the one where the guy is picking up rocks.

Well I'm sorry to say that if you are driving an ATV at full speed up a treed mountain your not going to last to long. ATV's at full speed can be pigs due to their soft sprung suspension and tall sidewalls on the tires. I have done some offroad work with them and they are very capable but unless you were on a wide smooth trail you were not going to be blasting along at full speed.
