A tribute To Jabal

Post by 3===SPECTER===3 »

Jabal is the oldest map that is in PR.6

It has been around since about .3 (or so i remember)

the amazing thing about this map is that it still promotes great teamwork and gameplay even after the PR mod has evovled so drastically.

This thread is dedicated to Jabal, So post all of you greatest moments in this map no matter what version of PR you have played it with.

That map never sucks, then again, if losing, always lost it in glory...so about those, who were on a MEC team, which got pushed back to Al Burj...

Even with people knowing the map there's still place for sneaking and tactics.

I absolutely <3 Jabal!!

Always have, always will.

Since the days of v0.3, with the LAV25 dual TOW pwnage,
the removal of spawn points in v0.4,
the excellent heavy AT kit in v0.5,
the commander assets in v0.6,
jabal will always be my lover :D

Yup. Hope to see it in .7, and MAYBE a "Jabal Redux" that's wider area, with the US Army defending the old MEC base (now the US Base), and City and all that, with the MEC coming from the north via land.

Leading a squad from the start of the match to 50 minutes in, and leaving with 1500 total squad points and 330 personal points :D

But no matter what new Jabal is made, nothing will beat the original.

My quick story:
It was probably version .3 but i join the server, and it was the end of the round. MEC are on all sides of the carrier and even ton the carrier killing us. Im so made at how noobish my team was being and not being able to get the Helos taken off. I myself was new to the game, and i just said @#$% it. If i crash it wont make a big difference we'll loose anyway. But i jumped in a Little bird (without a pilot kit:! :) and i loaded up with people and started to fly to West or east beach(I forget which is which) I made a perfect fast landing and my crew dropped off and i raced back and forth from carrier to beach and soon, EVERYONE that was on the carrier was on the beach all hitching a ride on my LB. then and even now, i still don't know how ppl crash the LBs and helos SO much, but it was a great day and it showed how teamwork prevailed even though we lost. I loved PR even more after that and Jabal was part of it.

P.S. this all happened in about 5 to 10 minutes.

I've never gotten to spend more than five minutes on that map in the 6 weeks or so I've been playing. Poor me.

I miss LBJ
And as the windshield melts
My tears evaporate
Leaving only charcoal to defend.
Finally I understand the feelings of the few.
