Guns have bad aim.
idk about other people but i think the guns in this game are terribly in accurate when in full auto or burst modes. you might think firing an ak47 full blast will be very in accurate but its not if you know what your doing and you know how to fire a gun. obviously this a war game and i think these solders would be able to handle a gun better then a 12 year old at a shooting range also the burst fire on the m16 is completely useless starting like 30 feet the chinese gun is horrible on full auto and burst.

Go easy on him fellas, he's new from nilla most likelyz
Waaah_Wah is right, you pretty much hit what you aim at for now. You will get better, just stick with it. And don't use auto or burst unless you are really, really close to the enemy. Like CQB close. Recoil degrades the hell out of accuracy, but only with rapid fire. Full auto and burst mode are surely rapid fire.

That's something I hadn't thought of actually. Are accuracy and recoil control different entities in BF2? or are guns just made progressively less accurate as more rounds are fired to simulate this?
There are a few games I seem to remember where the 2 things would at least seem to be separated (Call of Duty shows accuracy and control as 2 different factors when selecting weapons online but whether it actual works out like that in game engine terms is another matter) but I dunno if this is actually done and if so if it's on BF2.

I'm not sure, but I think it's made progressively less accurate as more and more rounds are sprayed from the weapon. That's one reason why short burst of 3 maybe 4 rounds seem to work well ingame. I'm not real sure on this so I could be wrong concerning BF2 settings.
Recoil can't effect accuracy on single fire unless the shooter allows it to by trying to anticipate the recoil and flinching at the moment of firing. That bad on accuracy for sure. Recoil doesn't happen until that bullet has already left the barrel of the weapon. Yes it's that fast. What recoil does is move the rifle after the first round is fired, so now the barrel is pointing in a very slightly new part of the target so when the second round fires it is going to the new location that the weapon is pointing cause of the recoil from the previous round. Small recoil means a small movement, while large recoil can mean a larger movement. All things being equal if you allow the recoil to happen and the rifles falls back to the original sight picture (or very near that same sight picture) and then fires again you can get a tight shot pattern. That however would be more of a controlled rapid fire as opposed to full auto for burst. Also you need to assume a good solid body position, and have good support like sandbags or something similar to cradle the rifle. That takes lots of training and hour and hours at the range to perfect that good firing position, and be able to repeat it time and time again.

In real life, you have to compensate for lots of things. One main thing is to account for recoil in the case of burst or fast firing.
In PR/BF2, all you have to do is pull your mouse down while firing burst or full auto. Sure, you're playing a game where soldiers(for the most part) are well trained. The gamer should be tested for skill as well. In his pulling the mouse down skill.
In real life, there is windage, humidity, temperature, etc.
In PR/BF2, there is bullet deviation(because thats how the system is).
So all in all, I'd say the fact that the gamer doesn't have to compensate for so many things is awesome. Don't be so lazy!
And the hitbox thing, well go talk to EA or DICE.

Netcode, happens with everything that uses the Battlefield 2 engine... why, just the other day I was riding a bike toward VCP when the Warrior's coax shot me at least five times... I saw all the blood on the screen, but I took no damage.nick20404 wrote:alot of hits dont evan register in this mod like blood shoots out and stuff but they take no damage idk if you can change how this works but its kinda lame

Look buddy, you can't expect any kind of a real response when you make a thread rambling about weapon inaccuracies then calling people names. Allow me to help you out.
1. The guns in PR are 100% percent accurate. Where the barrel is pointing the bullet go. It sounds like you have a problem with the gun's recoil. In which case maybe you should state your case a little more clearly, such as "Too much recoil in the guns when firing full auto," and maybe then we could have steered you to the thread about just that which was started a week or so ago.
2. Blood sprays don't mean hits in BF2s engine. You have to compensate for the lag the hit boxes have. Here is a good example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPTwGSrjsgo
Its a problem with the whole BF engine not just PR.
3. No one cares how many guns you've shot in real life. Lots of regular forum goers here have actual military experience, not just firing their grandpa's crappy old AK in the backyard. Statements like that don't help your case, they just make you sound like you don't know what your talking about.
4. I realize that English might not be your first language (I hope to god its not), but it helps if your posts are not just one long semi-incoherent sentence. Use those little dots.... They are your friends.
5. Don't be a *********. I realize this may be hard for you as years of Vanilla BF2 may have permanently damaged your ability to communicate to others, but try anyways. You will get a much better response.
I can see the thread lock right around the corner.........

Psh, I use auto fire at extreme ranges for those headshots eddie
Nah, I think I only ever go auto in short range conflict, like in cities, or when I'm on the move. I don't really kill with it, it's just something to "discourage" the enemy from continuing to shoot me.
