Has anyone considered approaching DICE directly?

EA should have put out a comp for a license like Epic did which led to RO, PR would have won that.

We should hold a PR gathering outside EA's office with bricks. Get everyone to throw the bricks at there windows, and then when they come outside proceed to yell at them "LOOK WHAT YOUR WINDOW DID TO MY BRICK!, IM SUEING"
To EA's Lawyers: This is a joke. We may not like your buggy game called Battlefield2, but we LOVE your bug-free payment system.

What we should do is gather an angry mob of people wielding small rocks and wearing bright green shirts outside of EA's headquarters. Then, whenever someone comes out, we will throw the rocks in their general direction, causing the passers-by who are actually hit to feel slight discomfort. When EA's executives come out, one person will come out of the crowd and say, "Wasn't that cool? Now imagine doing that in-game!" Soon afterwards, EA's newest title, "Rock Throwing: X-TREME!" will become the year's best-selling title and receive countless awards. As for the PR Team, they will disappear under mysterious circumstances and become part of an elaborate urban legend concerning government conspiracies, the Freemasons, and Swiss cheese.

Don't expect it to be soon...
.
What do we need to mention for EA to be triggered and listen to what we have to say? It's pretty easy money-making, right? People buy BF2, solely for PR. If we had just a little extra access to the source, we (read: the devs) could do even greater things. EA gets the money for BF2, we have more access to the source, which will remain property of EA.. everyone happy, right?
Can't think of a reason why they can't be arsed for stuff like this. They get money for it, for crying out loud!

Im sure there is some sound bisuness resaons for EA/Dice not releasing source code.
The funny thing is, if I remeber this correctly, that Dice were people who worked on the Desert Combat mod for b1942 ( a free mod). EA saw how huge the Desert combat mod got so hired up some of the people to release BF2 which is largely NOT mod friendly. Irony, no? Then what is?

EA and DiCE are a business like any other company in the world. They need money to keep producing shitty games, it's how the world works. The only reason EA seems unpopular compared to many other companies is because gamers are often 13 year-olds with ADHD who feel the need to voice their every thought.
I'm sure many toy companies, pharmacutical companies, etcetera can all get everyone's backs up.

This thread is kind of useless, they dont release or soft code(whatever u say) so that they'll implement these "features" into BF3.Example 128 player support, weapon sway,no insta-prone headshot etc. etc.
Man they did not even implement basic flag capture system in to bf1942 but they put it in to bf vietnam as a new feature and try to sell that junk...
Besides do u actually believe a company who sold more than 3 millions copies of BF2 will listen to modders?
