Chash in loading on screen

I have xp pro
I have a Pend D running at 5.324GHz :p
2 gigs or ram
7600GT OC from BFG
so i dont think its my specs i hope

Everytime i try to load up PR .5 and now .6
it starts to load by doing the black screen and then it going back to my desk top.

i have tired downloading the game from 3 sites
i have uninstalled and reinstalled BF2
i have uninstalled and reinstalled the game PR several times .5 and now .6

any ideas

thats all it gives me. but when i went in to the file to see what my screen was running it said 800x600 at 60Hz

and the game isnt even on my D: drive its on my C:

and this isn't the PoE forums.
and I believe you can go into your profile in my documents\pattlefield 2\poe\profiles\your profile

locate the video.con file and delete it.

For further troubleshooting PoE, I suggst you visit their forums. ;)

sorry about that i was tired and my friends and i were talking about poe but it is PR not poe so can some1 still try to help.

It's rather easy to solve. Follow these steps.
  1. Go to My Documents -> Battlefield 2 -> Profiles -> Default
  2. Open Video.con
  3. There's a line that reads

    Code: Select all

    VideoSettings.setResolution 1400x1050@60Hz [b]<--this part should show your resolution[/b]
  4. Change that resolution to a lower one by following the exact same format WidthxHeight@RefreshRateInHertz
  5. Save the changes.
  6. Go back to step one and perform the same changes to every other profile (Video.con files in folders 0001, 0002, etc.. in Profiles directory)
  7. Try to load the game again.
