yep i want a map like that too, im just waiting for it.I love playing basrah with Brits but i want the US to get a map like that too,

but then again the US has most maps, and it ruled in VBF2 so i think that the brits get their time in the glory too.

I think we should dig up that old Bagdad map (what happened to that project...) and use that for the US's city map v insurgents.

Since the US Army will come with their M4s and Strykers I can really imagine an urban vs insurgent map to be coming...

I'm confident that the US will get a city map with insurgents.

Does no one know why Al Fallujah was renamed?....

I think people know about this but a certain developer started working on a 'proper' version of Fallujah.

Sunset city is an urban map with US armour. Nothing like basarah in style though.

WOW,I found someone that agrees with me on expanding street, thank you for seeing how great of an urban combat map it is.But yea,the current desert storm made no sense, back when it was called Al Falujah,Falujah in real life is like Basrah.

He is/was. He's gone to the Royal Marines now though so whether he's suspended it, handed it over or is just doing it during his visits back home (doubt it) I have no idea what's happening with the map. He did show me a few screenshots about four months ago and it did looked fabulous ( :p ).

if you guys can hold your undies on until .7 possibly .8 there will be at least 2 if not 3 large urban maps coming... its one of the final frontiers we havent quite gotten to yet in terms of mapping... I"m trying to make some extensive buildings with all floors open etc... but the question is always do we make the buildings smaller and more detailed or go bigger with less polys for the little stuff?

ive done a few apartment blocks that are quite big but they will have very generic interiors... we can of course dress up the outsides but i just hope that they will look varied enough to not drive people mad.. another thing i guess is that these blocks will be based on communist era apartment blocks so they should be highly repitive to a large degree...

well we will see i guess..

anyway lots of very high quality large scale maps coming down the pipe so just keep playing and get ready...

Larger and less detailed would be for the best.
