few question for pr team

Post by kingdouglas1 »

I get alot of grafic issues with ur mod i was wondering if there is a way to fix them. grafics r fine on bf2 and quake wars beta here r picks first shiny sand bags and then pic of g3 scope and nob conflicting. the m16a2 is 100x worst.

Its like every thing on m16 is trying to show all the edges go back and forth like a fast wave.

I have had that problem too. It is a texture error usually caused by minimizing your battlefield game. I've only seen it happen to me once, but on EJOD desert, I minimized and came back and the rock wall in your first pic moved around all "psychedelic" like in waves. Simply shut off the game and turn it back on and it went away. Try not to minimize while "in server" because it is a common error caused in the battlefield games.

The same thing happens to me with the shiny sandbags. Its so annoying and the same thing happens to a lot of us when it comes to the M16 being all jitty.

Do you have an 8800 series video card?

Because 8800 and PR don't get along so well. I get lots of weird texture tearing on PR custom maps with my 8800. But I think all video cards have minor issues on the custom maps.

I have a ATI VisonTek Radeon X1300...so idk what that does to me. And yes i know its old but i got it last summer when i bought this PC so its good enough to play any game from 2006 or before on high settings which is what i wanted it for AND i still can play all new games on medium. Dont worry tho im going to get a new one very soon. :-)

Listen,I don't want to be bitching, and I understand that english might not be your native language, but please take some more time when writing a thread.
It is neither very time-consuming nor very difficult to simply write "your" instead of "ur" or "are" instead of "r",and a bit more structure in a text isn't hard either, but it makes reading soooo much easier and convenient.
Everybody will be able to understand what you want easier and faster, and that will surely be worth the extra minute or two ;-) .

Also make sure your video drivers are up to date. That fixes a lot of problems aswell

Apparently you don't know how to be polite.

24h ban for being an ***, come back when you can act polite, and maybe get some modding experience before criticizing others for issues like the sandbags which happens in vBF2.

We also haven't even touched the M16 texture, most of the flickering issues seem to be coming from the increased view distance.

1. One way to sort any visual problems is to go in Video and default it so it goes back low crappy graphics.
2. Then restart PR and play a quick local or online game (1 minute will do).
3. Then exit PR and restart PR again, now go to Video and make your changes- a wise man might change one item at a time and test each change, but I know you'll skip that ;)
4. Now go and play PR with the new preferred settings. If you are lucky you'll get the "Optimizing" message when you load a map (local or online). This has never failed to fix any graphic problems I've experienced that wasn't a driver fault.
