CAS comms: Spot a target for CAS- Like boat spotted

There is an obvious need for SL to get attack info to CAS. Sometimes it just doesn't workout and hassling the CO for something that needs to be done NOW can take to long.

Can the "Unit Spotted" commands be altered? I'd like SL to be able to mark a "CAS Attack Target" for everyone to see on the map. Then the pilots AND troops would know that area has been marker for *** kicking by planes or helis. Then they can hit it with reckless abandon instead of having to identify targets needlessly. I'd sacrifice the "Plane spotted" manual option if we have it...its rarely used. EDIT: It'd be nice if you could only do this with an officer kit too...hardcoded-likely.

Finally if this doens't work I'd like for all of us to decide that "Boat spotted" is the indicator for CAS attack point. We could put it in the Map description on big maps like Kashan and tell the pilots. That way the word might...MIGHT get out to a majority of players. So when they see boat spotted and get out of there before the jets come in. I know we have workarounds and CO's but it'd be if there was a official solution that was easily apparent even if a good CO is not present.

I agree, If you cant make more types of "spotted" you could merge heli and jet to aircraft or car and boat to light vehicle or sniper and infantry to just infantry.

I would also like to see a "RP spotted" option instead of the boat we use today.

Definitely, the nice thing about the "Spotted" system is that its the only way squads can communicate with each other quickly. The more options we have here the better IMO.

I thought this was a pretty decent idea, I'm sure its been thought of before....any other opinions on this?

I think it is a perfect idea. It saves the time of having to type in a message and prevents the confusion of using the "Enemy boat spotted!" message. But I would like to keep it the way it is, only expand the spotted list. Some things like "Enemy rally point spotted!", "Enemy machine gunner spotted!", Enemy mobile artillery vehicle spotted!" and the like.

I like this idea, maybe we can have a sub group for "requesting reinforcements", when we right click, we can have a request for jet, helicopter, armor, etc and then left click to send the request.

It would be very helpful if the commo rose sighting system could be expanded to cover some of the new elements added to the game, such as rally points, bunkers, ammo caches, etc. (basically, stuff that helps the enemy and that you want destroyed).

Would be usefull if you could place it directly on the map. Commo rose placing doesn't work at these large distances we got in 0.6 and need a direct sight.

Instead of armor and vehicle spotted, PR could just use vehicle spotted. And, I do think that there should be a CAS marker. Maybe a flashing bomb icon on the minimap?

I would love to be able to place spotted markers via right clicking the 'm' map. This would also be the best way to implement an 'airstrike' or 'pickup' order (shown to entire team, if possible) since spotting such an area can be tough when it or you are in cover.

Or make an Move point like the yellow smoke but more bigger and higher
something like that where (CAS) stands below
