The SS-Runes,just like the hook-cross, is merely a symbol.
And Symbols by itself bear no might. They are given weight to by people believeing in them and channeling their Ideas into/through them. Since the SS has been rooted out long ago, the runes are just hollow printings which still have a meaning, but there is no substance for this meaning anymore.
Furthermore, I think if we recoil at the sight of such things, the Nazi's from WWII still hold power over us. And how can we better disprove that we have some kind of fear or a twisted kind of respect of them than to simply make fun of them?
Granted, horrible things have happened back then, and they should never be forgotten, lest something like that repeats. But it is one thing to bear something in mind and a whole another thing to view the whole subject as a big taboo and not allowing oneself to view certain aspects of it in another light.

Regardless, if symbols attributed to horrific acts are treated as meaninglessly as letters, we'll end up seeing Totenkopf T-shirts in Wal-Mart. Please try and understand how a person who is connected with those atrocities might feel seeing those symbols shown so unapologetically as if the history connected to them, and the horrible suffering, were utterly meaningless.
