I HATE that bloody beret, it looks gay.

Those skins are very impressive.

As far as the armor goes there needs to be a change in the coloring of the camo on the armor. Look at a few pics and you will see what i mean(use google).

shouldn't the webbing be woodland as to buy a new set you have to dish out a fair amount of cash

Webbing yes, but you can buy pouches to attach to the OSPREY body armour so I'd imagine not all troops would use PLCE or Assault vests.

Can the hoods on the jackets be removed? Only Royal Marine Commandos, Paras and SAS get issued SAS or Arctic windproofs, the regular jackets don't have hoods.

Normal issue smocks have the facility to have hoods. When issued your desert kit, you are also now issued a hood. They have been since late 2004/early 2005.

Very nice! It's a shame about the beret but you can't do anything about that. It'll be nice to finally see some desert camo troops on Basrah.

It looks great although having seen the latest molle gear in desert dpm, the armour should have a near identical camo scheme to the fatigues and blouse rather than looking similar to the coyote tan armour fabric that US Marines have. Think along the lines of the US ACU gear - uniform uniformity. What makes it look different is the slightly shiny, almost goretex texture that the armour should have.
