Right, this is the initial draft of the email, if anyone can correct the grammer/sentence to make it better and possibly adding more paragraphs explaining the intentions better :)
To: PR@saltydogsproductions

Greetings to Salty Dogs Productions.

I am sending you this mail in order to inquier about the possible use of your work, Rising Conflict, in a community project to Project Reality, a mod for Battlefield2.
Community projects for Project Reality are made without Project Reality's developers intervention, they are all from the community, they add new armys, maps and vehicles.
Example:theres Polish Forces community project, as of now there are 3 different community projects.

What we would like to do is simple, take your work from Rising Conflict and use it in order to create a community project for Project Reality, we would like to add the IDF to Project Reality.
This would require use of your intellectual property, such as the skins, models, voices and such - you will ofcourse be granted credits as the original creator of these assets.
If you will grant us permission, we will reskin a few models in order for them to fit in to Project Reality, aswell as modifying weapons/vehicles in order for them to fit in to the gameplay, such as giving the TAR-21 higher rate of fire, and changing the Merkava Mark4's weapon system and possibly more.

I want to use your work for a very simple reason: the majority of it is in the required quality in order to fit PR, and as there are 3 community projects going on, making a fourth from scratch would be extremely hard as nearly all of the community's modders are already bussy and it would most likely be impossible to do in a reasonable timeframe without your work.

Waiting eagerly for your reply, Avi.

If you ask me it reads like you tried to hard to write that....lol. And your first sentence needs to be re written, im not sure if its "wrong" but its written poorly and not so good for getting you point across. If you ask me there is no reason to mention the other community mods. "such as the skins, models, voices and such" you used such so close to each other....thats where having a vocabulary comes in :-) you spelled busy wrong and if you ask me the last paragraph should be taken out.

Hello from all of us at the Project Reality Mod(BF2)!! We over at PRM sent you this e-mail to ask you if you would consider giving us some of your material your team made for the Israeli military. It is our understanding that your mod project has collapsed and we are hoping that you might have some of your high quality models textures, etc... that you are willing to part with. We want to understand that we might have to re-texture or re-skin the models you give us so i want to make it clear that you will be GIVING us your work although you will be giving credit for the originals. The NEWLY started Israeli faction is a community ran project so it would be a great help if you get back to us as soon as you can,we will be grateful no matter what your answer.

Sincerely,
PRM community

-Well there you go its not fancy but its says what needs to be said. You can work out any details once you get in touch with them/him.

Having been a founding member of SaltyDogs Productions I'll have a chat with the lads to see if we can give PR the content (I thought I recognized that damn Osprey!). Nothing would make me happier than to see all that hard work the team put in actually see some gameplay on the servers.

0_o no one has spoken with em yet, the email is not finalized yet.
They moved to QW:ET.

Tell you what, tomorrow morning I'll email them, once I get a reply from them I'll make a thread about the IDF project and see how it goes from there.

I modified it slightly, but I'm not sure about it - to me it seems to aggressive and doesnt explain what PR/community projects are.

If someone from the PR team can contact Global at [email protected] we'll see what can happen. I've already stated your case.

They've already been talking over who to give the content to and PR was one of the front runners due to an earlier exchange of content. Global wants to talk to a PR Dev though first.

Alright, I guess that means the chances of getting permission from them to use their content is nill if they are already considering who to give it to and then theres no point of mailing then :-(

Hopefully the PR devs will get the content and make the IDF :D

If you could get a better texture and up the animation when opening it and reloading just a bit it would be amazing. Also keep up the good work on modeling, texturing, and animating.

Hmm, we'll just need a skinner to do the IDF uniform so we can get em ingame..with or without RC's work.
Anyone? :)
