When in a helicopter, Press E whilst Holding F (For fast rope) and you will deploy out of the chopper, it's bugged atm so works at any altitude or speed...

One thing to be carefull of is using the run (defualt "shift" key) while on the fast rope, it doesn't work like the ladders in game, you will die from the fall if you hit run. You have been warned but I bet people will still hit run to descend faster.

Want to know how? You need another person to do it, hold your balls on a solid surface like a pavement and then get a friend to hit them with a sledgehammer (a 10lb/4.5kg one is my personal favourite) several times.Ryan3215 wrote:ok, how do you use the fastropes easter egg? now i would like an actual answer instead of a flame war flame shield up!![]()

FFS Guys! It's supposed to be hidden! Can we get a mod edit?

Everyone's lying, there is no fastropes. But...... there is parachutes that have been re-added. If you jump out of a helicopter or jet (by pressing E) then you hit 9, you will get a parachute. Sadly the DEVs are n00bs so the parachute spawns on a tank besides you. You quickly jump in the tank and it floats to the ground!
However, the DEVs were like "omg t3h tanx wil be shooted ups" so they give you controls of the turret and driving controls. They replaced the main gun with a 'omGwTfLAZER'.
I kid, you're a jackass.

Sorry the joke was that back when we first started posting ss's from our RC tests of the Osprey we had one of the testers toss a grappling hook up into the bay of the thing while it hovered overhead. We took a bunch of screenshots of us "descending" from the "fastropes" just to throw off the fans.

Re: v-22 osprey?
Sorry for resurrecting such an old thread, but I really wanted to know if anything's still hapeneing with the MV-22. Are the DEVs still working on debugging it, or have they completely given up on it?
The USMC could really do with either this or the Sea Knight.

Re: v-22 osprey?
bugged? no its fine, it just needs coding IF we wanted to use it.
the fact of the matter is we do not want to use it. We have no maps that currently suit a v22 and with that being the main factor of why we do not plan to use it any time soon.

Cheers Rhino, that's good to hear. Hopefully we'll see it sometime in the future[R-DEV]Rhino wrote:bugged? no its fine, it just needs coding IF we wanted to use it.

I just really want to see the USMC rid of the Little Bird, and the Huey used a bit less. Afterall, the standard complement for a Wasp-class assault ship is just 3 Hueys compared to 12 Sea Knights (dunno about ships with the replacement MV-22). Of course, load-outs change per mission requirement, but at the mo it's just all Huey, Huey, Huey. The MV-22 and the CH-46 are the true workhorse choppers of the USMC, as you're probably aware.

Re: v-22 osprey?
Since passenger are not allowed to use parachute, I guess it would be kinda hard to land it everywhere like a chopper in a hot zone to deploy troops...unrealalex wrote:Wow that would be so awesome to fly and transport people around D:
Only map it would work for would be Kashan though.
BTW can someone reminds me of why passenger are not allowed parachutes ? That would allow some real special forces operations...
