A shout-out to the PR community ...

Post by Bad*Jedi »

Just a quick shout-out to the PR community as a whole (those that read the forums anyway ;) ) ...

I've been playing since v0.3 and have been real impressed with the true global aspect of the PR crowd ... I was playing on the TV2 server today and asked the question "so, where's everyone from?" ... our squad was British, Danish, Norwegian, German and US ... of course I've also been in squads with French, Italian, Brazalian and (the list goes on and on ...) :-P

There was a post last week about how "mean-natured" the PR community can be ... well, consider this post as just a response with regards to how well so many people from so many nations can come together and play/contribute to a game that kicks so much @ss :!:

Shut up and RTFM.

No, I'm just kidding  I think it's great, being able to have a laugh with people from all sorts of countries and then complaining about them darn foreigners when they leave the squad

Yes, it's great. I'm just desapointed for I thought there would be much more people from Brazil and South America. Actually, there are much more, but not in this site as we have our own brazilian communities for BF2 and mods.

The brazilian PR community is http://www.realitybrasil.com.br. The forum has about 600 members.

And the brazilian BF2 community is http://www.bf2brasil.com, the largest south-american community, has about 12.000 members. While not being focused directly in PR, this website has a side forum for it with plenty of users.

So you from PR has a lot to celebrate, for your mod has gained a lot of popularity and players from South America. Cheers!

True, there is a lot of people out there from all over the world, and since you play on the TV2 servers, you are probably one of the many people that have heard my crappy english with a strong danish accent :D I always run a squad called: "VOIP twrk!".

And yea, its an amazing mod. It its so much better than the original game - it should be this one we were paying for and not BF2. I've always kept hoping for BF2 to become more realistic - and yet, with every patch it just becomes even more unrealistic. The day I discovered/tried PR I instantly gave up on BF2.

I too want to help, but I have no skills yet. I am trying to start modelling but its still on the baby-stage so far :D (see https://www.realitymod.com/forum/t26539.html for further info...).

Never heard that one before. But I get a lot of "where are you from?" Must be my semi-Queens-English. :p

Theres a little Israeli community for PR, we have our server but its rarely populated at 10pm+ prime time in Israel with more then 15 people..I remember one game - fully Hebrew speaking squad, next round we had an American squad leader that sounded pretty Jewish =)

What i think is great is that a squad can be truly international and still function as a force to be reckoned with, with communication and everything.

Suppose thats what sets this mod apart.
