MEC got Unfair Weapon´s

Hi,

since the PR 0.6 Patch it´s realy unfair on the battlefield.
because everyone at the MEC site can selcet the G3 sniper class to shoot very long distance´s at the enemys.
and the US site got only the M4 with RED DOT that´s realy unfair i think, and it´s not so much game fun since the G3 Sniper released.

Please remove the G3 Sniper or give the US´s Soldiers a M16 with Scope, to make the game Fair!

uh......
1. i havent seen this
2. its a rifleman not a sniper
3. the M16 ironsights have been modified to have 4x zoom

You did notice that US. Riflemen and Officers already have an 4x zoom on their weapons?
At the moment only the ironsights with the zoom are used, real scopes are due in 0.7.
Also,the M4 is not meant to be a weapon for long ranges. It is a carbine with high ROF but low range and accuracy. Furthermore, a reflex sight is usually without or low zoom so that you can look through it with both eyes open without getting a headache. Oh, also it has hardly any zoom because it is meant for Cose Quarter Battle, but who cares about that as long there could be a risk of headache :p .

So, wait until 0.7, there you'll get shiny scopes and (hopefully) reduced recoil on M16 and consorts, so that the Americans will have a chance at high ranges.

And dun't you touch my beloved G3! It stays how it is (ok,maybe with a bit more recoil, but thats it :p ).

I dearly hope that in 0.7 we will feel the difference between a Battle Rifle (G3), made for long range engagements with high firepower, but lacking CQ capabilities, and Assault Rifles (M16,L85 etc.) which are suited for both situations and thus increasing the different styles of play for each army.

but wye didnt the dev's put in a g3 scoped and not an m16 ACOG at the same time

Arjan, because making an entirely new model (as the team have for the G3) is a lot of work. There wasn't time to complete both the new G3 and the M16.

So the M16 was given a 4x zoom on the ironsight for the Officer and Rifleman class (the only two MEC classes to have the scoped G3 at present), as a placeholder until 0.7 release at which point the ACOG will be used on a shiny brand new M16 model.

It's not perfect - the ironsight is chunky so restricts your field of view - but it goes some way to balancing out the range.

To make it clear:
  1. It is temporary
  2. The M16 with ACOG is already in development

Yeah, thats right i now that since the Patch released, but the 4x Zoom on M16 is ****, because the visor of the M16 covers the half of the screen!, but with the G3 Scope you can see more of the Battlefield.
And the G3 got many many more Power, you need only 2 Shoots to kill one, with the M16 you need 4-6 shoots, thats realy unfair!

1) Yes. The iron sight post does reduce situation awareness, but the ACOG is going to be implimented in 0.7.

2) Yes. A larger caliber round does do more damage. It also causes more recoil. If they made every class the same in every spec, it wouldn't be Project Reality. Asymmetric balancing is where it's at.

But the M16 is far mor accarute than the G3, so it gets even in the end.
