Don't get me wrong. this is definitly a great feature for a clan match where everyone knows each other and has voice communication. But for pickup games I don't like being partnered up with some dummy, or someone without voice. I like the total control of being able to drive around and shoot at the same time. I really don't think this feature works in a pickup game.

I know that you shalt not repeat what thy neighbour hath speaketh before you, but let me expand on what the others have said.
There are two main reasons why there are two-man tanks in PR.
One, it's realistic. IRL, a tank isn't operated by one man. Actually by four, if I'm not mistaken?
Two, it forces teamwork. This way, lonewolf tank whores won't last as long as coordinated tank teams. Yes, you might have some difficulty sometimes, but generally, I've had great rounds tanking on Kashan and Gulf of Oman. It's all a matter of being clear and to the point. Might want to take a minute to figure out a few things before you jump into the thick of the action. Get your actions-on sorted, figure out key phrases, etc.
Hope this was clear and helpful, and in any case: welcome to the forums and thanks for the feedback!

More guns and bullets make bad guys go away faster,
which in turn makes everyone in the area safer.

I don't think this thread needs to be answered anymore seeing how limited options you have when it comes to answers.
To sum it up;
In the real world it takes a crew of 3 to 4 people to drive a tank.
In PR it takes at least 2 to make a good tank crew using voip software to communicate.
