AKAIK, MEU (SOC) units frequently utilize this hundred-year old pistol.

And its only used by the Marine Special forces, who already have the P226. So it wouldn't actually replace any of the M9s.

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
