Been 2 years, what have I missed?

Post by Aggro_MG »

I stuck it through two releases, then well got back to running my skateboard company. Forgot about BF2, PR...except DODSource....on occasion.

Then I just been making lots of skateboards.

So the story so far. 2 days ago, I went to play DOD and valve was having some issues. A few kids next to me where playing BF2...so I logged on, not knowing my account was still active.

It said, October 6th 2005, last login...

Ok, I was such a N00b...I had to ask them, so how you pick up a kit, zoom mini-map, do this and do that...

They thought I was a n00b...then I got all my ranks back, having last logged in I was a master sargent.

Then I came back here...saw the video, was blown away.

Project Reality, where you been all my life?

So...is there a complete game list and user manual?

And...if playing in a cybercafe, can I just download the mod there?

But no need to get worked up about that. 0.6 is awesome! :D
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

haha i was here when PRMM .1 and .2 came out soon after vbf2 was released. Oh that was quite some time ago. I remember all PRMM was, was a tweak of vbf2. It mainly only adjusted guns' firing to be realistic and added iron sights, and that was it, hehe. My, have things have changed. :)
My PR ingame name is Pvt.Nouri.

So when will you get to play PR?

O and if you have not got a mike, i would thoroughly recomend getting one becuase over 50% of players have one and on certain servers there is over 90% usage of mikes! Indeed things are alittle different....

When it comes to experiencing PR to its best i would recomend playing any time after 6:00 GMT and on any of the "best" servers like IGI (UK), TG (US), or Thorus (euro), TV ..? (where helix play) - there are others but i am uneducated!

Welcome back to PR! You're in for one mad ride ;)

For servers, I can recommend Texas Teamplay (US, duh) and Thors Brigade (EU, but this server is MADE OF AWESOME!!! Highest concentration of great players to be found IMO).

Any microphones you would recomend for under £40?

Yeah, the mike I use is made by a company called inland. It is really rugged and has good sound quality, but the real kicker is the bass. It has a seperate USB plugin just to power the subwoofers in the headset. When a chopper flys over with the bass cranked it feels like the headset is about to take off! The bass can be toned down however. The headset has lasted me for over a year now, and is only $30-ish USD, not sure as to how much that translates to GBP.

Thanks all

Thank you for the encouragement. Besides skateboarding and my day job, my girlfriend, I'd like to be able to have something to look forward to a few times a week.

As well, I played BF2 again, and I left or ranked as a captain....forgot about that.

I'll read the manual and I am sure it will answer every question I have.

As well I am peeing my pants looking at the screen shots.

As well, thanks for the Militia weapons and skins...I served in the Army of Croatia (HVO) and well looking at weapons made me soil myself.

Thanks again.

I use a Creative HS-600 headset that cost me £30, good sound quality and mic, also has one of those inline volume control thingys. I've been using it for about a year on various MMOs and FPS', the only downside is that for the first few weeks of use it can be very painful on your ears (pushes against them fairly hard). :p
