The only prob I've had with lack of RPGs is on Al Basrah Extraction, where you haven't got time to go hunting for them.
Granted, Extract is buggy so we couldn't finish the map anyway....

I would like you to hit an APC from 100+ meters with an RPG. Seriously your getting more and more annoying for every postEl_Vikingo wrote:RPG's are deadly. two hits to an APC and they're gone. Learn to use them. There are over 10 locations where the RPGs spawn. There is nothing wrong, just your skill. Thank you.

Katarn is 100% correct. Insurgents are an extremely good army if they actually fight like insurgents. The moment you try and fight the British on their terms, you are going to lose, badly.

APCs, with each different round, all take the same paths. With patience and experience, it becomes easier to hunt the APCs. Pay close attention to your map, and you will usually be able to see where an APC is traveling, as well.BAD BEN wrote:the only problem is that when u wait u dont know IF an APC is gonna come your way

you SHOULD BE kidding , one or tweo minutes ? hell, rpgs only wreig like 10 kg (maybe less with a heat round) , 5-6 seg would be enoguh to have a clean shoot .[R-DEV]Katarn wrote:The idea is not to get seen by the APC and then shoot it at 30m. I dunno what's wrong with being prone for a minute or two. People are just too hyperactive.

Yeah but sometimes you actually have a smart person driving the APC and that smart person camps outside VC on Basrah and frequently looks around. Then this happens:[R-DEV]Katarn wrote:The idea is not to get seen by the APC and then shoot it at 30m. I dunno what's wrong with being prone for a minute or two. People are just too hyperactive.
a) You crawl long as hell to get close to him for a shot but since hes in the open he sees you and shoots you down
b) You crawl long as hell to get close to him for a shot and manage to shoot him once after wich he pops you
c)You crawl long as hell to get close to him for a shot and manage to hit him and he simply drives away for repairs.
d) You rush him and die
If an APC is stupid enough to come inside city without massive support, he will be gunned down. But if he sits in the open its really hard to get 2 shots at him before he either drives away or shoot you.
And no im not hyperactive i use to lie in ambushes all the time on Ghost Train or Mestia. (1 mine on the road and two C4's next to the road

Which means he can't support the infantry who have to go into the city to take out the cashes. Fall back into cover and let him sit out at VCP. He can't do any good if he can't hit anyone.Waaah_Wah wrote:Yeah but sometimes you actually have a smart person driving the APC and that smart person camps outside VC on Basrah and frequently looks around. Use what you've got. Which happens to be an entire city to hide in. And the location of all the weapon cashes. The Brits have to come to you. Don't go onto the plain of death outside of the city, stay inside where the ranges are short so the extra power of the AKs counts for more than the scopes of the L85s.
Use what you have and adapt to what the enemy do. If the Warrior camps at long range, he can't see past the first row of buildings, you can run around the city freely. Unless you activly go out there and present the warriors with targets they arn't a problem and so don't need to be taken out.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
Many thanks to [R-DEV]Adriaan for the sig!

Bob pretty much said it all. Brits can have the best APC driver/gunner combo in the world and never take an RPG round all game by protecting North VPC, great, but the Brits will still loose the round if the caches are in place. I fully expect the APC's on this map to be death on wheels unless they try to get into the city and sit still for to long.
And to Waaah_Wah
And to Waaah_Wah
Actually he's already peaked and is on his way down, but I'm sure if you keep lipping off he can bring things back up to his glory days. We can only hopeI would like you to hit an APC from 100+ meters with an RPG. Seriously your getting more and more annoying for every post

Shut ya gob.
I have no problem hitting an APC at Checkpoint from the desturctable part of NW Basrah (Not village) I don't know if it's a hundred meters, but it's on the edge of the view distance. Seriously, I've heard people whine about that RPG's deviation, which to my experience is non existant.
But by all means, if you want you can whine all day, don't let me stop you.
Have a nice day.

I don't know why the deviation is worse for some people and less for others. Maybe there's a trick involved while aiming?
Whatever the case may be, you still have to adapt to the situation as has been explained in this thread.
