armoured HMMVW?

Post by arneboe »

could we get an armoured HMMVW like the one with the mounted TOW just without the TOW, but with a 50cal instead? it would be great!

I'm sorry, but I am afraid that this has been suggested multiple times before, though I am not 100% on the Devs' responses.

I believe in the Devs eyes it's not a really neccesary change, the vbf2 hummer is more than good for now.

I would bet in the somewhat distant future that this might be implemented, but most likely not too soon.

Yea it is. There was some talk of changing the Hummer but it's not a high priority. Dunno how it's going to be used as a proper transport without an open back (apparently it can only carry 4 people).

Yeah have a look in the community modding section for some renders. Apparently they're only used for transporting engineers though from what I've heard.

Bah, I'm much more interested in seeing a proper Vodnick.

fully enclosed, lower profile, 14.5mm MG in an enclosed turret and amphibious? Sign me up for one of they!
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

And not forgetting the capacity to transport 8 persons! You can fit that many in the average people carrier but this thing is a mini truck!

Not to mention the Nanjing can hold 1+10 or 1+11 passengers. So again, maximum would be 8 soldiers in one truck.

I remember reading something about soldiers making their own extra armour for humvees and other military vehicles, using steel plates and such.
